手和矛旅館(Hand and Spear)

The room is pretty good, the pub is excellent and all food, breakfast, lunch and dinner are great. The staff at this establishment take it to another level. It’s not often that all the staff are great, but these ones really are. They truly must love their jobs because it shows! Steve Perth Australia

PROS: Friendly check in and good service generally, well appointed room, comfortable bed, small but modern bathroom, excellent soundproofing - could only hear the music from the downstairs bar in the bathroom. Bedroom was lovely and quiet. Tasty breakfast, delicious fish and chips the night before. Coffee, tea and fresh milk provided in room. CONS: Light fixtures, wine glasses and desk mirror all needed a good dusting. Bathroom steps covered in marks(?) and hairs from previous occupant. Electronic safe didn’t work. Toiletries in shower needed refilling. Light in mini fridge buzzed/flickered each time it was opened.

The hotel room was superb but the drinks poured wrongly, the food was awful we didn’t actually have a main because of it and the starters didn’t come as they were on the menu and also terrible, the bar, the so called restaurant, the atmosphere… dire and even the chefs were dressed in outdoor gear and hoodies. It actually ruined the entire trip :( really would have rather stayed at home and saved the monies.

Comfortable air conditioned room, great shower (these things are important!) Good food, helpful staff. Handy for the railway station with easy access to London. Great buzzy pub with a good selection of beers and wine. Easy walk into Weybridge.

Thanks to Emily and the entire staff here at the hand and spear. This is a beautiful establishment and I had a lovely stay. I will echo what others have said – steps to the rail station and good leisurely walk to Weybridge the trauma of this place is top-notch.

Lovely B&B. Will definitely come back. As charming as UK cottage can get. Clean, cozy rooms. Tasty breakfast menu. Pub and dining opened in the evening, with good selection of wines. Food range covers all from farmer fish to hamburger and vegetarian dish.

We had a very nice stay! Nicely decorated room and friendly staff. The breakfast was not european standard ( no butter, no cheese and no ham was inkluded .We did not try the Full Enlish breakfast though )

Lovely comfortable rooms with huge bathrooms, coffee machines and Sky TV. Nice very big pub so rooms had some noise from garden as you'd expect. We choose to eat there and were disappointed in the roasts - service slow and potatoes very hard.
