皇家酒店(The Royal Hotel Weymouth)

The room was nice and spacious with a beautiful sea view and the sunrise in the morning was gorgeous. We did request a room with a bath tub which unfortunately didn’t get. The bathroom wasn’t very clean. Hair on toilet seat and in sink. Also the fan was extremely loud. There was dust on the ceiling above the bed and stain on the carpet. Breakfast was nice with a sea view and the location of the hotel is great

Nice friendly staff. Location very good right on the beach. Cleaning not so good. I found a big black long hair by the bedside table lamp. Found a hair by the taps in the shower. I found some old packing from a tooth brush behind the chest of drawers. I had a sea view room, I had a great view, there was plenty of heating through out the hotel. It's just 4 minuets walk from the train station. The bathroom needs updating, very slow water pressure was very slow and the bathroom very small. The sink was in the bedroom. The bed was comfy with nice clean fresh bedding.

Great location. Very friendly staff. Easy to find the parkings around the back and it's free after 6:00 p.m. there is limited parking and possibly not the safest area. The breakfast was really nice if not a bit expensive at £10 per person. The first room I had was a double room. It was very comfortable. Very spacious, lovely, warm shower. On the second night I had a single room. This was the opposite. It was a very noisy room. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower extraction fan was very, very noisy in the shower. Cubicle itself was very small

Very tired needs up dating, no telephone in room or hotel information. Seating very uncomfortable and lighting too bright. I found it cold in appearance and dated, although grand from the outside but below average on the inside. No doubt in its heyday a hotel to be proud of.

The hotel was a little old and drab, but you get what you pay for. We had a nice sea view and the bed wasn’t too uncomfortable. The staff also seemed quite polite and friendly. Those are the positives. There were a few unfortunate negatives with our stay: The hotel was advertised at 11am checkout time, but upon arriving we were told checkout is at 10am and always has been. The fire alarm INSIDE the bedrooms started blaring out for a solid 5 minutes at 9am. Somehow nobody thought to turn this off immediately, for all the guests who were asleep. There was NO hot water when I had a shower at 1am. We were in fancy dress for Halloween so I had no choice but to brave the icey water lest I stain the bedding with blue hair spray. Otherwise, the room was somewhat comfortable and the location of the hotel was ideal.

Fairly priced seafront hotel. Friendly staff (especially in the bar). Could use a revamp in places but for the money it did the job just fine.

We arrived early so stowed our bags around reception area. The receptionist was helpful with a dry sense of humour. When we returned there was a different receptionist on duty who was not as helpful or friendly but it didn’t spoil our first day in Weymouth. The Superior Room was spacious and on the whole, very clean. It had an en-suite with a separate toilet area. The window and blind looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for a while yet we were comfortable with the room. We had tea and coffee facilities with a coffee maker too. There was no phone in the room to contact reception but apart from requiring extra coffee pods we didn’t need anything else anyway. The breakfast was sufficient and the staff in the restaurant were very helpful indeed. The hotel itself is just a four minute walk from the train station and is perfectly placed on the promenade for nearby shops and restaurants should you require them. We will definitely be back as we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Weymouth and we would recommend this hotel too.

Room was comfortable, clean and warm. Issues with bathroom plumbing- I had to adjust ballcock to stop significant overspill from toilet tank, and toilet also blocked later in stay. Welcome at reception was not especially friendly. Overall, though, this was good value for money.
