阿爾巴日出酒店(Alba Sunrise)

Durante il nostro viaggio in Scozia la scorsa estate abbiamo soggiornato 2 notti in questo b&b perché vicino al porto di John o' Groats per prendere il battello per le Orcadi (10 minuti con la macchina). Bella e comoda la stanza come anche il bagno. Possibile scegliere tra colazione scozzese e dolce: i prodotti sono pochi ma tutti fatti in casa e molto buoni. Disponibili anche prodotti senza glutine per mia moglie celiaca. I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili. La sera per mangiare il posto piu vicino è un pub nel minuscolo paese vicino raggiungibie in 5 minuti di auto dove fanno dei buoni piatti tipici scozzesi. È un posto dove regna la natura e tranquillità. Dalla finestra della stanza si vedono solo prati, mucche ed un bellissimo mare sullo sfondo. Il secondo giorno mentre facevamo colazione nella deliziosa saletta con ampie vetrate abbiamo visto un cerbiatto brucare l'erba, io, mia moglie e i miei figli sono rimasti stupefatti... che dire, per due giorni ci siamo sentiti anni luce lontani dal caos della città....

Was doing the NC500 in our camper van so needed a stop off and this lovely little place was perfect. Provided great local knowledge of where to go and so close to so many things. The owners were very helpful and the room was lovely and comfortable

One night stop with our family on the NC 500 route. Lovely situation with amazing views and friendly and helpful hosts, the rooms were spotless and the house warm. Huge breakfast (!) to set us up for the day, really enjoyable, thank you

The Host Katie & Owain really looked after us when we stayed for 2 nights before heading to Orkney & Skye. The room was clean and beautiful. Deers & Goats outside. They had chickens & baby chickens and kindly let our little girl hold them. They even let her play with their little dog which made her holiday. Breakfast was lovely and Katie & Owain advised us on the best places to go and what to see on our short stay. We even saw a rare bird on our first hour there the Hen Harrier. Great start to what was an awesome 10 days trip to Scotland. Weather was awesome the whole time. Again. Defo will be back to that part of the world. All of it stunning.

Excellent b&b. The rooms are lovely, spacious , spotlessly clean and comfortable. The views from the family room are amazing. Lots of choice for breakfast which was outstanding. On our four night stay we had a different breakfast each day, which we couldn’t fault, and really set us up for the day. Our hosts Katie and Owain were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area, and gave us some fantastic recommendations of places to visit. Annie’s Bakery, the stacks and Puffin Croft were real highlights. We will return and would highly recommend.

The views are stunning. The accommodation very clean and comfortable. The service is superb, the hosts are really warm welcoming. Breakfast menu is great and wholesome, all nicely presented and served.

I was made to feel so welcome by the hosts and their little dog Stanley, the setting/scenery is beautiful, great location for visiting John o Groats, Wick, Thurso and local castles on the clifftops. Some excellent boat trips in the area too. Alba sunrise is immaculately clean and very modern, comfortable, lots of TV channels and great WiFi connection. I felt very relaxed during my 3 night stay....I would have happily stayed longer. The breakfast is fantastic, so much to choose from, even for a vegetarian! I would 100% stay here again if I'm in the area 😀

Superb location just a short drive to John O Groats with stunning views out to sea. The bedroom is large, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast plentiful and very tasty. Owain and Katie are perfect hosts For an evening meal the village inn in Keiss is very good although their customer service could be improved

Owain and Katie could not have been better during our stay. We toured the NC500 and found this location a perfect stop on our journey. Amazing breakfast, warm atmosphere, lots of space to park, I could go on forever. Amazing couple and wish you well in the future, thanks again, shall definitely be returning one day!!
