Location-wise the hotel is a good place to settle and you can enjoy the nature of quiet and peaceful. Recommend!

Changed room on arrival as the shower was leaking and the sewage bloked , second room the shower had no power , the maid did not cleaned our room as we haven't left to note outside the door to instruct for cleaning 😵, anywhere else we've stayed the maid came to clean the room without us leaving the sign " COME CLEAN THE ROOM". The hotel itself it's very dated, very old stained carpets , old brown furniture around, the sauna wasn't functioning properly, the glass on the door was detached from the frame , so cold air was coming in. Breakfast was a completely disaster, the staff was running around like headless chickens, people queueing to get inside, tables full of food , cutlery and left overs from previous dinners . The food was not enough, empy food containers, guests waiting on another queue, no clean cutlery available, we've used the fork to stir our coffee. A completely DISASTER!

Got a very good deal by booking a long way in advance. The hotel is looking pretty tired and needs a bit of TLC. The breakfast was pretty chaotic having changed to no bookings and all buffet style. But staff tried very hard and were very friendly.

The staff were lovely and friendly..bed comfy..unfortunately the room was so tired worn out and dated.. breakfast was cold.. fresh but cold.. hotel needs a major refurb.. would have only paid £40 if i had a choice... :-(..

I loved the property and how it was designed. The rooms were lovely and had all the right amenities. The only thing that I suggest to the hotel is that it should revamp it heating system to take a unfloor heating system run by a ground source heat pump instead of fossil fuels and obviously increase the insulation.

Very run down and clearly needs some renovation. The food was shocking and the cleaning staff start at the crack of dawn. It is very close to the Zoo mind was family friendly.

When you walk in you think this is nice. Then you hit the freezing corridors and enter a freezing room dated from the early 90s. We found hair all over bathroom and not very clean. The bed looked like it folded into the wall and very uncomfortable. This was not a one off chance in total there was 6 rooms and all to a low standard. Being part of marwell zoo I think we expected more especially at the cost of a room. Hopefully the reason the hotel is so dated is because the money goes to the animals.

Staff were very welcoming. The room was large and pleasantly decorated. Nice and warm for the time of year. We used the pool in the morning and it was at a perfect temperature and big enough. Only stayed one night but would recommend.

The hotel is a great location for my needs but is a little tired and needs some money spent on it, the staff are friendly but could maybe be a bit more dynamic. I stay here for the convenience and the cost but may look at other options a little further away that provide a better overall experience
