Booked a last minute one night stay and it was excellent all round, Every member of staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the initial reception and throughout the whole stay, in particular, Lee the young waitress who even had a massive smile on her face when she brought our cheese slate as room service when we'd disappeared from the table stuffed with the delicious food. The facilities again second to none, the room and bathroom were immaculate, bed really comfortable and a great bath and shower, There's a well stocked bar giving vast options even for alcohol free beers and wines The food was first class, we had melt in your mouth Lamb curry and Steak with lovely side dishes Breakfast was also second to none with lovely coffee and locally sourced food such as the tasty sausages bacon egg with a choice of bread types for the toast. Again, the breakfast staff we're friendly welcoming and attentive We'll definitely be back Thanks again

Just spent a weekend here with my wife. We stayed in room 2. It was a very spacious room with a round bed. There was also a Jacuzzi bath and a walk in waterfall shower. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The managers Kevin and Michelle couldn't do enough for us and the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was excellent and all locally sourced. The breakfast menu was quite extensive and the also cater for a food allergies. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Recently stayed at the Applegarth hotel, all staff made you feel very welcome and nothing any trouble. Facilities very clean and great views from the room. The hotel itself is modern with a twist of character. Ideally located for getting around.. We had snow fall while there and hotel staff cleared around hotel visitors cars, Would highly recommend and will be returning.

We stayed in a hot tub suite called “Broad Crag”. We absolutely love this suite. The hot tub is amazing so worth the money, you get a really good view and the jets in the hot tub are amazing! The room looks amazing as you can see from the photos. The customer service was absolutely excellent. We got checked in by a man (sorry not sure on your name) and every time we have stayed here he has been so pleasant which makes the experience even better! Didn’t eat in the restaurant but we did order a drink and it got delivered to our room! excellent customer service. We got a toffee apple cocktail and it was lovely. Breakfast was also lovely.

Superb in every way! We have just returned from a four night stay at the Applegarth using the excellent value 3 nights for 2 deal (a great bonus) You can select your room on line and the photos do reflect the very high standards in the hotels decor and fittings. We chose Room 10 and were extremely happy with it. The bed was extremely comfortable and facilities first class. Whilst the bathroom was small it was more than adequate. It was a real pleasure to look out of our bedroom window each morning and see the low fluffy white clouds over Lake Windermere and the golden sunshine (yes we had sun!!) on the green hills opposite plus the various autumn colours. Beautiful! From the moment we arrived and checked in we were made to feel most welcome. Every member of the staff team (great team spirit) were a real pleasure to talk to and they couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.. Our room was on the second floor, there is no lift the hotel, but we were helped with our luggage to our rooms and help was offered again on departure. We dined in the hotel restaurant (The Apple) two nights during our stay (not open Sun / Mon during our stay) and had daily breakfast. Every meal was cooked to order and to perfection - the taste was outstanding - and service was outstanding too! Well done chef and staff.! On one of the other nights we visited the Italian restaurant in town San Pietro - it was a few minutes walk away from the hotel and was first class. Finally the hotels location is very good. Only a few minutes walk to the shops / restaurants in Windermere. There is an excellent bus service from the town to Bowness (10 mins), Ambleside / Grasmere, Keswick and Kendal. Our visit was to celebrate our Golden Wedding and upon learning of this Kevin (one of the owners and excellent breakfast chef) presented us with a very nice chocolate congratulatory message on our last morning - a lovely touch. Would we stay again - without a shadow of doubt. Highly recommended.

Basically I could not fault our stay at this hotel, my wife and I loved it and will definitely be returning. The rooms are superbly finished and very comfortable with everything you would expect from a hotel of this quality. The restaurant served food that was out of this world and breakfasts that keep you going all day!

Fabulous hotel and great value for money. The staff were very friendly and most helpful especially the ladies serving breakfast. The room had an amazing view with luxury items such as dressing gowns slippers and big fluffy towels. Having a central location meant that we parked the car and never used it until we went home being close to shops, walks, the lake, woods and restaurants. A perfect stay!

From The booking process through to departure we were met with a friendly, can do approach. A lovely relaxed stay throughout. The food, which I will also review separate was outstanding. A truly creative and locally sourced menu of classic choices, but with super contemporary twists.
