I recently stayed at the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge by Marston's Inns, and found it to be a clean and comfortable choice for accommodation. The rooms were well-maintained, providing a good night's rest in a peaceful setting. One of the perks I noticed was a discount offered in the restaurant for hotel residents, though it's important to mention that this is only available if you book directly through the hotel, which was a bit disappointing. During my dining experiences at the hotel restaurant, I felt that the staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. While the service was efficient, a warmer interaction would have greatly enhanced the overall experience. Nonetheless, the food quality was satisfactory. Overall, the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge offers a decent stay, especially if you're looking for a straightforward, no-frills accommodation with the convenience of an on-site restaurant. It's a suitable choice for travelers seeking basic comfort and cleanliness.

When we checked in, there was an issue with the card for the room. We sorted this out russ was very helpful and apologetic, he even walk back over to the rooms to see if the issue has been solved, upon entering the room, FAMILY room which has 3 beds perfect, but the smell was awful. Non smoking rooms in which obviously people have been smoking, ash was all over the widow, my two children, one has a disability. My daughter found menus under the bed and bottle tops, close to the window. After a long journey, this is not what I expected, being late in the evening, with two tired children, this was a upset for them and myself.

Terrible nights sleep due to the door banging constantly and shaking the room and a domestic happening outside our room the following night. Banging door kept the children awake and was worrying due to the tv being above one of the childrens beds and the whole wall shaking everytime the door to the stairway was opened and closed. We will not be returning.

Great place to stop off on my drive from Nottingham to Aberdeen.staff were friendly, food was good as were the rooms. Will use again, for sure 👍

Did what it needed to clean comfortable first time using Marston inns hotels would use again

Booking in was easy, staff were very helpfull and friendly. The room was very cosy and clean.

Great stay with brilliant staff who welcomed you every time you entered. The internet is fast, free parking which all make for a better stay. The only thing I would change is to have an earlier start for breakfast times as 7am is quite late for a start time due to travelling for business.

Stayed 3 nights. No cleaning services or even bins emptied. Lots of banging doors through the night due to fire doors which can't be helped. Evening meal expensive for what you get. Breakfast is not bad value

Based here whilst touring the local and wider area. Hotel accommodation is perfectly adequate, I would say comparable with a Premier Inn, but the associated pub fell well short of expectations. Opening hours were very limited, particularly on Sunday night, having returned from a long day driving and walking, we entered the bar at 8.43 to be told that last orders had already been called and they were closing!! On other nights they also closed early, although not as early, but by 10 o’clock! It meant that we decided to eat out before returning to the hotel in case we were unable to get an evening meal. As this chain is Marston’s Inns, my friends and I felt it was a poor experience.
