伍德斯託克夏爾酒店(The Shire Woodstock)

Such a fantastic place to stay. Staff were so friendly, the hotel had great ammentities (expedically beacuse the restaurants in the area all closed early but we were able to go to the supermarket across the road and heat up some stuff in the microwave). Beautiful location, overlooking the river. We will be back!

Check in was very quick, the lady that checked us in was extremely nice and courteous. Our room was clean and nice. I think we overpaid. I believe $90 would have been a more reasonable price for this type of hotel and room.

Rooms are clean and well taken care of. The staff made accommodations for a later check-in and were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is walking distance to town center.

We have stayed at the shire many times over the last 15 years. Mostly in the fall but also in other seasons. This year the rate was doubled and the service was reduced by 75%. The room was clean when we came but never cleaned again during our three day stay. the coffee machine in the room did not work and there was no decaf upstairs. The manager (for lack of a better name) could not speak or pretended he could not speak english. We won't be staying at the shire again. So sad because we had many happy memories of are former stays.

I have stayed here several times. Room was great but I missed the coffee and treats and the microwave in the building I was in had to walk far and find the map of the property to find the coffee etc. only staff I saw was saw was the young man when we checked in who was very nice and professional.

No personal communication on owners part. Only communication thru iPhone. Didn’t know that they put a $100 on my credit card until we left as a security deposit. Lots of construction going on too which was noisy. Probably would never stay there again

Extremely comfortable room with a great view of the river and a nice covered porch area with chairs. I didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff, but everything was as I wanted - a quiet place to relax and work within walking distance of everything in Woodstock. Strong wifi and very clean. Nice bedding. There was a Keurig machine outside the room that was available at all times, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, walking distance to the center of Woodstock village. Nice, comfortable room overlooking the Quechee River. AC in the room didn't cool it despite being set to 65.

Very outdated! Pictures were deceiving! Paid way too much for what we got!
