La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Yakima Downtown

It was a very nice hotel, even as they were remodeling.

Amazing staff and favorite hotel!! All the workers are amazing and always making our day better.

When I arrived I thought the place was shut down because of the construction. Even once I went inside I was shocked to see the condition of the lobby. I checked in anyway and was pleasantly surprised to see that my room was brand new. However, the smoke alarm went off repeatedly in the middle of the night leaving me with almost NO SLEEP. They should probably be closed for business during remodeling.

Horrible. Checked in and the staff was rude. Got to the room, the sink didn’t work. Called the front desk and they told us to use the shower to wash hands, brush teeth, etc. Later the sink was working, but no hot water. Woke up to zero hot water in the shower either. They first tried to blame it on “too many guests”. I told them this was unacceptable, then they offered to let me use another room for a shower. Did absolutely nothing about refunding any payment. Told them they did not honor the contract between customer and hotel. I was told by both staff that they were “accommodating” me!?! They owe me a full refund for terrible conditions and absolutely rude behavior.

There was a lot of construction going on. They tripped fire alarm at the time of our check in. It went off again at 10:00 pm and 4:30 am. Needless to say we had a hard tine sleeping.

Totally under construction inside and out. Restricted access to parking. First room had no hvac system so had to move rooms. Electrical cords all over hallways, stacked jip rock, plastic coverings as doors, what a mess.

The first night the toulet didnt flush. My husband tried plunging himself in early morning like 230 am. I talekd to front desk they said we couldnt have aamother room and maintenance would fix. That night daughter got sick with stoach flu. Toilet didnt flush she had to use the bathtub to vomit and diarrhea..the rest of us including a six year old we had to go down the elevator to use the bathroom. I let them know the next day it still wasnt working. Front desk said it was fixed it was documented. I have video and pictures.. the general manager wouldnt call me back and everytime i called they said he wasnt there.. was really shady. So basically i called ******* and they called hotel. They were only willing to give us 50 percent refund. Was very disappointing .

The property is under construction with construction (and all the accompanying noise) beginning at 7am. The hotel needs to indicate on their site that this is taking place and may be disruptive.

Hotel is under heavy construction. Construction consumes up most of the front parking for guests. The neighborhood around the hotel is less than desirable and leaves a very uncomfortable feeling to walk out to your car at night. I did not see any on site security.
