York Pavilion Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

The best experience we had. Hotel was very clean. Full of character and we loved how they decorated the room. Staff were just amazing and looked after us at dinner table and breakfast time. The food was amazing too. They were very nice people and we enjoyed our stay. The only downsudr was the parking place, we barely could find a space but it was bank holiday weekend so understandable. Overall one of the best experience of staying at a hotel.

Very expensive for a small room at the top of two flights of stairs. A standard double bed in a reasonable size room but the hotel is tired and in need of some real tlc.

It was just fine.

Lovely quality hotel, lovely staff, lovely food and ambience. Didn't like the fact that they took £50 off my credit card as a 'safeguard' in case I didn't pay my bill, which I now have to wait ten days for to have refunded. Hardly makes you feel valued and trusted as a customer.

The beds were comfortable but the room was cold. I informed the receptionist who said its on a timer (this was 8.30pm) I asked when it would come on.'It's on a timer'. Well it never came on !! we adjusted the radiator thermostat but no joy evening or morning. Receptionist said there is a heater in the wardrobe. What was in the wardrobe was an iron and a cold blowing fan!! not very happy. Even less so at having to pay £8.50 for parking when a resident at the hotel. If I had know I would have parked on the street outside (having gone through the barrier I would have been charged anyway.) The breakfast staff were good and the food was nice.(was worried when I read the lower down print on advert after I had booked B B that there was a surcharge for cooked breakfast. But that actually referred to if you requested something not on the buffet. Would probably not stay here again. We are best western members but won't get any rewards for staying as I didn't book through the g Best western site!!
