普勞旅館(The Plough Inn)

Very friendly staff, always helpful, nothing too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable, few niggly things but nothing serious. Food is amazing, Chicken Sizzler is a must. Excellent bus connection to York, very easy from right outside the pub. Would Definitely stay again.

Stayed here two nights, comfortable well appointed rooms, pleasantly surprised that we weren’t disturbed by traffic even though our room was on the front. The restaurant was busy both nights, but the food very good and service prompt. Monday quiz night great fun and well run. Would have given top rating had there not been a couple of minor issues. Large free car park at rear of building. Nice smoking area outside.

Wow. This pub was a regular for my parents when visiting York and came highly recommended by them, and is also across the road from the Best Western where we were staying, so great to be able to have a meal and a few drinks on arrival. We booked for 6.30pm and arrived at 5.45 for pre drinks, but our table was available so the barman told us we could order whenever we were ready. We both chose the Thai Curry from the specials board. We were not disappointed. It was delicious. And there was plenty of food, so much so that I couldn't manage one of the delicious looking desserts. Gutted !!!!! the pub gets busy so booking ahead is a must to ensure you get a table. But definitely worth a visit. Great food, Friendly staff and a great a**osphere. Can't wait to return.

Upset that I have to sit breathing in vape fumes . Not good ,if everybody vaped it would be just like it was when everybody vaped . Surely they should go outside . I want to care for my lungs and enjoy my local pub please. Can this please be reviewed

If you don't stay here when visiting York you're missing something really good. Fabulous food, exceptional room and great staff - plus convenient bus stop just outside to get into the city centre without hassle. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Just got back from this lovely hotel and cannot fault it. The room was very nice, room 6, the staff were very friendly and helpful with advice. There's a bus stop just outside that has a regular bus service. The food was very good. Altogether a great stay and if we return to York we will definitely stay here again.

Great stay at The Plough. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. We ate in the pub the first night, I recommend you book as the pub gets super busy. Food was of good standard. Beer good too. The room was great, we stayed in room four, excellent decor, plenty warm enough. I personally found the bed too soft but my husband found it perfect. The staff are very efficient at keeping the rooms well stocked with tea , coffee etc. Despite being on the main road we weren't kept awake by traffic. Breakfast is plenty to keep you going until supper time, unless you decide to have a nice cake when you're out😃 We will stay again.

Called in on the off chance, very pleased we did! The bar has plenty of a**osphere and both drinks and food were well above average. The chef did a great job, both our meals were very well cooked and presented. My only complaint would be the dessert blackboard, which is on a wall at the back of a table. This is hard to see unless you walk up to the table and when someone else is eating there, it’s uncomfortable. Perhaps put a few boards around which can be brought to the table or just print a few paper lists off. Overall though , enjoyed the visit and would definitely go again .

Busy pub but excellent food. Had been in previously and food had looked good so went here on spur of the moment. Informed could be half hour wait which fine as we ordered drinks but only had less than 10 mins to wait. Food was very tasty and well presented. Plenty of it.
