濤遊戲小屋酒店(Tau Game Lodge)

Nous venons de passer 4 jours en famille au Tau Game Lodge. L'accueil est chaleureux, nous avons été immédiatement saisis par la quiétude et la beauté du lieu. La vue sur le point d'eau depuis les chalets et la terrasse du restaurant offre un spectacle exceptionnel, car chaque jour de nombreux animaux (éléphants, zèbres, gnous, crocodiles, chacals, guépard, autruches, singes, antilopes...) viennent aux abords du lodge. Le personnel est attentionné et extrêmement à l'écoute, la nourriture est excellente. Un immense MERCI à notre "best ranger" Silas qui a tout mis en œuvre pour que chaque safari soit un moment unique et ça a été le cas. Nous avons vu une multitude d'animaux, de magnifiques paysages, des superbes levers et couchers de soleil. C'était magique, le tout dans une ambiance très amicale. Nous avons laissé un morceau de notre cœur là bas et espérons y retourner.

Expérience de safari merveilleuse ! Tout était parfait : l’accueil le confort le matériel de safari. La situation du lodge est incroyable car proche d’un point d’eau oú les animaux viennent boire. En dehors des heures de safari l’activité animale autour d’un lodge est incessante. La nourriture est succulente! Notre ranger (Doctor) était génial!

Die Lage der Lodge ist hervorragend. Leider gehörten wir zu einer Gruppe von Reisenden, die im März ungepflegte und abgewohnte Bungalows zur Verfügung gestellt bekam. Daher fällt die Bewertung auch nur befriedigend aus. Die Bungalows benötigen eine Renovierung und eine tägliche und gründliche Reinigung. So wie wir die Bungalows erhalten haben, ist die Lodge nicht zu empfehlen.

Tau is the real thing. If you are looking for an authentic and enriching African Safari then TAU Game Lodge is the place you are looking for. The staff spoils you and the Rangers insure your see the animal up-close and personal.

This was our 4th visit in 20 yearsto Tau game lodge in Madikwe. its a very special place; The Rangers,game drives and sightings are exceptional. We saw the magnificent 7 close up during our trip and enjoyed the luxury accomodation, food and wine but most of akll the knind and helpful staff, several of wjhom have been there since the lodge opened 30 years ago..

We arrived in Tau game lodge on the 18th April 2024, for a three-nights and four-days stay. In total during this time, we did six safaris. We were guided by a superb ranger, Herman, who not only could find out locations of different animals, but was also helpful in identifying the trees/ shrubs/ insects and birds. The stay itself was very comfortable. Difficulty, if any, was in the outdoor shower, where we spent some time to look for any baboons barging in, and consequently were anxious showering. Food was great, and so was ambience.

The watering hole is right outside your lodge, the drive onto the reserve is breath-taking. There is a crocodile who sits right outside the fence, basking. The local food is very good. The flight on the small, single engined plane to get to the lodge is quite scary.

This is my second visit here and I still am not tired of this wonderful place! The fact that all of the rooms and main lodge sit on a waterhole makes for 24/7 game viewing. Rooms are clean and charming with private balconies on the waterhole. The staff are very friendly and kind, the food is excellent, guides are so knowledgeable about the wildlife too! You can see the big five here plus so much more. Elephants are everywhere. The wild dogs were a highlight for me. It’s very affordable and the short drive from Gaborone Botswana was very safe. Dreaming of going back!
