A flagship Renaissance Hotel appears in Beijing Zhongguancun Just when the newly opened Marriott series started to feel bland and uninteresting to me, the Renaissance in the Dongsheng Science and Technology Park in Zhongguancun, which has been open for a few weeks, is like a shot in the arm, reigniting my desire to explore hotels. They were mostly old-fashioned, lacking in character and fun, until the appearance of the Nanning Renaissance. I've always felt that it was the flagship of Renaissance in the Asia-Pacific region. Whether it's the design, the mix and match, or the integration of the city's characteristics, it's on par with W hotels. But the emergence of this new Renaissance in Beijing makes me feel that this newly opened Beijing Renaissance is the benchmark for Renaissance in the Asia-Pacific region. When checking in, the hotel manager Jasmin introduced with great enthusiasm that the site used to be a military settlement, so the entire hotel is themed around 'horses'. Whether it's the small ornaments in the rooms or the large murals and sculptures, they all blend the trendy aesthetic with the element of 'horses', which coincides with the theme of each new generation W hotel. The hotel cleverly uses 'sound, light, and electricity' combined with bold colors to make me constantly feel the vitality that the hotel wants to convey to every guest. I spent an afternoon exploring the hotel, and as a semi-hotel expert, I can say that every design has been carefully thought out by the designers. Aside from the hardware, the service is indeed impeccable. Whether it's the doormen, the front desk, or the intern Lucas in the lounge, or Judy at the bar on the first floor When they see me pausing, they all come forward enthusiastically to ask if I need help and proudly introduce the story behind each design as if they were tour guides. I really wish the Ritz-Carlton on Financial Street, the St. Regis Beijing, and the W Xiamen would take their staff over for a good study. In the elevator, I met the hotel's foreign general manager 'AYMERIC LE BOUCHER' (this uncle's Chinese name is quite interesting, 'Le Buxie', meaning 'joy without end'). I chatted with him for a while, and I said that what makes a good hotel is not just the hardware, but the service that can offer the most sincere smile and respect to every guest who comes with expectations to unlock a new experience, making the guest feel reluctant to leave. I'm happy that the new Renaissance in Beijing has achieved this, giving me a great surprise.
