Excited, I jumped out of the car and ran towards the scenery I had longed for. My heart was especially thrilled, beyond words. I had never seen such blue water before. Under the sunlight, the lake surface shimmered with sparkling waves. I stared and stared, lost in a daze. Sayram Lake shows different shades of blue from different angles. Under the noon sun, it is as blue as a spilled palette. From light turquoise to cobalt blue, layers blend gradually. When the sun sets, the entire lake surface burns like golden lava. The distant snow peaks turn into pink cotton candy. The sun has set. I quietly watch the sun slowly descend behind the snow mountains.
