Shangyu Hangzhou Bay Wetland Welcomes Peak Migratory Bird Season

Starting from October 15, the Hangzhou Bay Wetland in Shangyu, Shaoxing, Zhejiang enters the peak season for migratory birds. As an important stopover on the Siberia–East Asia + Australia migration route, this area has become a "birdway station" for migratory birds. It hosts both transient "passersby" making brief stops and "regulars" preparing to overwinter. On the tidal flats, migratory birds either forage or spread their wings, full of vitality. Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park is located near the southern end of the Hangzhou Bay Bridge, featuring expansive tidal flats, large reed marshes, and wild grasslands. It is also a filming location for the movie "The Search," making it a must-visit for film fans. The park offers a single ticket that includes electric carts and boat tours, with two routes, A and B. Touring along Route B, you can see fish swimming, and on a black-sailed boat, you can spot egrets and cormorants. After disembarking, there is also a Père David's deer park.
