S217 Liya Highway Scenic Spots + Yajiang County

Haizi Mountain Geopark, renowned for its ancient glacial remains, boasts an average elevation of approximately 4,500 meters. Gravel-filled rock rivers and seas dot the mountainside, their density and scale rarely seen. Bengpu Temple, a Tibetan Buddhist temple located in the Sangdui River Valley in Daocheng County, is over 900 years old and nestled into the mountainside. It is the oldest surviving temple in Daocheng County, with its striking golden eaves and crimson walls. Yajiang County, located on a plateau with a distinctive canyon landscape and steep slopes, is known as the hometown of Chinese matsutake mushrooms.
