Qianshi Mountain is located about 2 kilometers from Jianchuan Ancient Town. The scenic area was historically called Mangxie Ridge, also known as Maixian Forest. In 1639, Xu Xiake traveled through Yunnan and stayed in Jianchuan for 4 days. He loved the tranquility here and spent half a day touring Qianshi Mountain, which he recorded in "Diary of Travels in Yunnan VII." It is said that the natural stone cave Tonglingqiao in the scenic area was once a shelter from rain for Xu Xiake. . 👉🏻 There are two viewing routes in the scenic area: 1️⃣ Straight up and down, climb 999 steps to Lion King Archway, then see the Thousand Lion King statue. The Lion King viewing platform offers excellent views, overlooking the entire scenic area. The Lion King was carved in 2004, led by the principal of Jianchuan Middle School. Although it shows no signs of aging, it is the largest stone lion in the world. 2️⃣ Wuyun Tower: An easily missed spot in the scenic area, Wuyun Tower is built on a cliff, giving a fairy-like atmosphere, like the residence of an immortal cultivator.
