I took a trip to Lijiang Old Town during the holiday, and this city is truly perfect for a leisurely getaway! Here's my three-day itinerary, featuring both popular Instagrammable spots and a taste of Lijiang's authentic local life 💫 📸Must-see attractions: Lion Hill, the highest point of the Old Town The view of the entire Old Town from Wangu Tower is absolutely stunning! I recommend going around 9 am when it opens to avoid crowds and enjoy the best lighting. The ticket price of 31.8 yuan is well worth it. I bought a coffee at the viewing platform and watched the morning light gradually illuminate the old town's tiled roofs – so soothing! Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, as the mountain path is a bit steep. 🏯Mu Mansion's Splendor Lijiang's "Little Forbidden City," the 40 yuan ticket includes a guided tour. I especially loved the Mu Mansion's back garden, where Naxi architecture blends with Han Chinese styles. The best part is that it's much less crowded than the Old Town itself! I recommend going around 4 pm so you can stay until the lights come on – the night view is breathtaking! 🍜Zhongyi Market Street Exploration The soul of the Old Town! Fruits, cured pork ribs, flower cakes...you can find the most authentic Naxi cuisine here. It's recommended to go in the evening; after buying your food, you can have dinner at one of the market stalls. There's a particularly popular stall run by an old lady selling roasted milk fan (a type of cheese), worth the wait! 🌃Da Bing's Hut: A quaint, artsy bar hidden in the alleys of Wuyi Street. Enjoy a beer and folk music – so chill! The bar retains the original Naxi old house structure, with wooden windows offering views of greenery and ancient city eaves – perfect for taking photos. ✨Helpful Tips: 1. Lijiang has extremely strong UV rays! 1. Sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen are essential. 2. Wear sneakers to the cobblestone streets of the old town; dragging a suitcase will be exhausting. 3. Remember to bargain at Chungyi Market; aim for half price. 4. Da Bing's Hut has live music after 9 PM; arrive early to secure a window seat. 🏡Accommodation Recommendation: A four-night stay at Park Chi Hotel is a great deal, including afternoon tea, breakfast, airport pick-up, and luggage transfer.
