Most places near Tianmu Lake are scenic spots; there are fewer people on weekdays. Since winter sunsets are early, it’s recommended to take a taxi back to the hotel early. Fang Suo Cultural Village is still under construction and almost empty on weekdays, but the architectural style is very interesting. The Mingdeng Book Tower is best viewed when lit up. Nanshan Bamboo Sea is great when there are few people, offering a pleasant experience; you can even stand in the front row on the slope train.
