Itinerary: Depart from Guangzhou - Niushou Mountain - Laodongmen - Confucius Temple Qinhuai River - Music Stage - Meiling Palace - Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum - Linggu Temple - Xuanwu Lake - Hongshan Zoo - Qixia Mountain - Nanjing Museum - Memorial Hall for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre - Return to Guangzhou D1: Depart Guangzhou - Nanjing Lukou Airport - Niushou Mountain - Laodongmen - Confucius Temple - Qinhuai River Take a taxi from the airport to the West Gate of Niushou Mountain (Photos 1-6). Buy tickets one day in advance for 145 RMB, on-site 160 RMB. Luggage storage costs 20 RMB for 6 hours. Sightseeing bus ticket is 10 RMB per person. Get off at "Tianque Station," first visit the Buddhist Pagoda for a panoramic view of Niushou Mountain, then take photos by the pond, visit the "Reclining Buddha," and explore the underground palace, which is very impressive. Return to the West Gate and take a taxi back to the hotel, stay in Xinjiekou or Laodongmen. After resting at the hotel, take a taxi to Laodongmen and Confucius Temple - Qinhuai River (Photos 7-8). Route: Laomendong Archway - Nongcui Yuhua Tea to check in at the Nanjing text wall - Mustard Seed Garden Cultural Exhibition Hall - Deyun Club to check in at Jinling text wall - Vanguard Bookstore - Nanjing City Wall Museum - Zhonghua Gate - Take bus No. 2 or 202 at Zhonghua Gate Fortress, get off at Zhan Garden Road on Zhonghua Road, next to the West Gate of Zhan Garden - Zhan Garden - Confucius Temple - Ancient Qinhuai West Archway - Mood General Store Music Bar - Nanjing Confucius Temple - Qinhuai Scenic Belt (Northeast Gate) - Leave from Exit 2 of Confucius Temple Metro Station. D2: Xinjiekou - Music Stage - Meiling Palace - Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum - Linggu Temple If visiting more than two attractions, it is recommended to buy the Zhongshan Scenic Area combo ticket (Photos 9-11), purchased one day in advance for 95 RMB, with about 3-5 hours of sightseeing. Take Metro Line 2 to Zhongling Street Station, then take the sightseeing bus for 10 RMB to the scenic area. Walk to the Music Stage to feed the white pigeons, then walk 15 minutes along the Purple Mountain Greenway to Meiling Palace, and another 10 minutes to Gate 3 of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. From Gate 5 of Ming Xiaoling, take the scenic shuttle for 10 RMB directly to Linggu Temple. Focus on visiting Ming Xiaoling and Linggu Temple; the gates of Ming Xiaoling are far apart, so be careful not to get lost. Due to restrictions inside the scenic area, ride-hailing cars can only pick up and drop off outside. It is recommended to use the scenic shuttle bus plus metro for transportation. Nanjing often has traffic jams, so metered taxis are not cost-effective. Stay in Xinjiekou, where there are many snacks and unique check-in shops nearby at night. Exit 7 of Xinjiekou Metro Station leads to Deji Plaza, where you can check in at the famous internet celebrity restroom and various luxury brand stores. D3: Xinjiekou - Xuanwu Lake - Hongshan Zoo Take Metro Line 3 to Xuanwu Lake Station, and Metro Line 1 to Hongshan Zoo. Xuanwu Lake has five continents (Photos 12-18). Recommended route: enter from Xuanwu Gate, exit from Jiefang Gate. On the left after entering is a plane tree avenue; turn right near Mangxian Drink Convenience Store, go down the steps to the curved boardwalk, then visit Huzhou Yanliu Dike - Guo Pu Mound, Liangzhou Ginkgo, Chrysanthemum Exhibition at the Ling Bonsai Garden, climb the viewing tower to overlook the panorama of the five continents, and walk the Cuizhou Water Boardwalk. It takes about 20 minutes from Jiefang Gate to Ming City Wall. The whole visit takes about 3 hours. Xuanwu Lake is very large, and the route is flexible. The outer ring is suitable for sightseeing buses for a quick tour (80 RMB for the outer ring, 50 RMB for the inner ring). If time permits, you can continue to Hongshan Zoo, ticket price 40 RMB, with many unique cultural and creative products.
