Here is a weekend 2 days 1 night check-in points and route map, please keep it. ✅ Two-day one-night travel route (7 AM to 10 PM) Day 1: Qixia Mountain → Liuhui Pavilion → Confucius Temple Day 2: Phoenix Tree Avenue → Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum → Jiming Temple 🍁 Qixia Mountain (Photos 2-7) - Known as the autumn pinnacle of Nanjing, the top autumn spot. By the end of November, the whole mountain is covered with red leaves ranging from light pink to deep red in layers. The ancient temple’s red walls reflect the red maples, reaching the peak of deep autumn maple viewing. A slow walk to enjoy the autumn is the best way to open the deep autumn red leaves. 🌳 Liuhui Pavilion (Photos 8-10) - Known as Nanjing’s autumn treasure spot, the forest shows layers of red, orange, yellow, and green, fully layered. The colorful forest reflects in the water, earning it the nickname "Nanjing Jiuzhaigou." Located in Zhongshan Scenic Area, it is a relatively less crowded autumn viewing spot and free of charge. You can also visit Linggu Temple and Music Stage nearby. 🏮 Confucius Temple Qinhuai River Night View (Photos 11-12) - "Take a painted boat to tour Qinhuai at night, the most beautiful when the lanterns are just lit." After dinner, head here. The lights reflect on the river, making for amazing photos. 🪾 Phoenix Tree Avenue on Lingyuan Road (Photo 13) - Near Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Lingyuan Road’s sunlight filters through towering phoenix trees, leaving mottled shadows. Every shot looks cinematic. After shooting Phoenix Tree Avenue, turn into Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. 🍂 Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum (Photo 14) - The dawn redwood here is the "gold" of Jinling. The deep autumn saturation is breathtakingly beautiful. The stone statue road of Ming Xiaoling is known as the "most beautiful 600 meters," though by late November many leaves have fallen. If you have time after visiting Ming Xiaoling, you can visit Meiling Palace. 🛕 Jiming Temple (Photos 15-18) - One of Nanjing’s oldest Buddhist temples, historically known as "the first temple of the Southern Dynasties" and "the head of 480 temples of the Southern Dynasties." The ancient temple in late autumn is a sediment of time, especially with its connection to ginkgo trees. Among them are ancient trees hundreds and thousands of years old: the "Double Eight Ginkgo Trees" said to be planted during the Southern Liang Dynasty by Emperor Wu, over 1500 years old and among the oldest ginkgo trees in Nanjing; trees said to be planted by order of Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang after founding the Ming Dynasty, over 600 years old; trees personally planted by Ming Dynasty Minister of War Xu Shimin when he became a monk at Jiming Temple, over 500 years old; and trees planted in the early Qing Dynasty, about 400 years old. ✅ Tips: 1️⃣ It is recommended to wear plain or traditional Chinese-style clothing to better match Nanjing’s ancient capital temperament; 2️⃣ Entry to Qixia Mountain before 7 AM is free, and entry to Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum before 6:30 AM is free; 3️⃣ On weekends, all scenic spots are crowded, so fully consider travel time and queue time for photos; 4️⃣ Nanjing has many delicious snacks besides the check-in spots.
