Loo Moo Dee Beach on Phi Phi: Wild Beauty Without the Crowds

Hello, travelers! Today, we're talking about an unusual beach on Phi Phi Don Island: Loh Moo Dee. We visited it three times to spice up our vacation at the beautiful Long Beach, which is close to our hotel and which I wrote about in one of my previous posts. Loh Moo Dee is practically wild: it's rarely cleaned, there are no lifeguards or buoys, and the low tides dramatically change the landscape. Swimming and snorkeling are more challenging here than at Long Beach, but the atmosphere is worth the visit. What awaits you ▪️Peace. For the first 15 minutes of our visit, we didn't see a soul—a plus for those who enjoy peace and quiet. ▪️Nature. There are many shady trees by the water, but the water and sand are littered with fallen leaves. ▪️Local inhabitants. On the right edge of the beach are monkeys (they're quite brazen!), and near the center we encountered a cute goat. ▪️Unusual finds. For example, we found a "monstrous" dried pufferfish. A mini-civilization. In the center of the beach is a bar with sun loungers. Prices: ▪️Regular beer (0.33L) - 120 baht; ▪️Craft beer (0.33L) - 220 baht; ▪️Soda (0.3L) - 100 baht; ▪️Coconut - 150 baht. Important nuances ▪️The waves are more noticeable than at other beaches. ▪️Snorkeling is modest – the underwater world is not as rich as at Long Beach. ▪️In case of emergency, there's no help available—be careful in the water. How to get there It's just a 10-minute walk from the left edge of Long Beach to Loo Mu Dee. Route: ▪️Pass beautiful bungalows (part of the PhiPhitheBeachResort). ▪️Climb the mountain. ▪️Pass local huts (you might see mango and papaya trees along the way). ▪️Beach center coordinates: 7.734967, 98.788951.
