Welcome to summer at Changbai Mountain

To put it abstractly, the scenery and the steps here somehow remind me of Changbai Mountain, probably because these long steps really exhausted me. The steps at Changbai Mountain are even longer, colder in winter, and the ground is slipperier. Both places are very beautiful~ ⛰️This place is Paarl, home to three famous giant granite rocks—Paarl Rock (photos 3 and 5), Brittany Rock (photo 10), and Gordon Rock, which together form the spectacular Paarl Mountain. This is actually the world's second largest granite outcrop! Be sure to be careful not to get blown away by the wind when you climb up (you can hear the howling wind in photos 9 to 13), no exaggeration, it’s really hard to stand steady. "Paarl" means "pearl" in Dutch, which is very fitting! Because after every rain, these dome-shaped rocks sparkle like pearls~ No wonder this town is called Paarl. 📍Paarl Nature Reserve
