Who would have thought! I found my dream stay in Jiuhuashan 😭 Right next to the Dayuan Cultural Park, and when you open the window, there’s the 99-meter-tall Ksitigarbha Statue. The morning Buddha light shining on the foot of the bed instantly feels divine! The scenic terrace room I booked really touched my heart—the solid wood furniture carries the scent of pine, and the extra-large floor-to-ceiling window frames the mountain view like a moving painting. In the afternoon, I curled up in the rattan chair sipping the Huangshan Maofeng tea provided by the homestay, watching clouds slowly drift over the statue’s shoulder. Even my breathing felt lighter. The owner said all rooms are soundproofed, so at night it’s quiet and peaceful, and you can sleep well with the mountain breeze. Gotta praise the details! After hiking, a hot bath is so relaxing. Breakfast is freshly made Huizhou-style small wontons and preserved vegetable flatbread. The owner even packs two tea eggs as extra hiking snacks, warming you right to the heart. The location is absolutely perfect! Just a 5-minute walk to the cultural park entrance, no need to rush early to queue. In the evening, stroll along the stone path beside the homestay and you can see locals washing vegetables by the stream. The mix of everyday life and Zen vibes is super comforting. The owner also provides hand-drawn blessing routes to avoid crowds and find hidden scenic spots. Before leaving, I took a photo set in the courtyard with white walls and black tiles paired with the distant statue, and my social feed blew up with questions. The owner said you need to book two weeks in advance during peak season. Next time I come to Jiuhuashan, I’ll definitely stay here again!
