Scheveningen – the seaside escape of Hague

If you visit The Hague, don’t skip Scheveningen – the most famous beach in the Netherlands and probably the easiest way to feel real seaside vibes without leaving the city. Long sandy beach, huge promenade, the iconic pier with a ferris wheel and bungee jumping platform, cafés right on the sand so everything here feels relaxed and a bit holiday-like. How to get there? The best part - it’s super easy. • From The Hague city center: Take Tram 1 or 9, both go straight to “Scheveningen”. The ride takes around 10-15 minutes. • From Amsterdam: Train to Den Haag Centraal - tram 9. • From Rotterdam: Train to Den Haag Centraal - tram 1. Public transport stops almost right at the beach. If you come by car, be aware: parking is expensive, especially on weekends.
