Anti-crowd route through Zhangjiajie

The magic of the Avatar Park — without a single queue! How to avoid 90% of tourists. This route is based on reverse logic: We go against the main flow, which starts from the East Gate and rushes to the Bailong Elevator. We start from the lesser-known West Gate. Ideally, we stay nearby, for example, at the No. 5 Valley Inn hotel, which we were very pleased with. 🕗 Arrive at the West Gate at opening time. There are no tour groups here — just a few other savvy travelers. Take the first bus to the Yangjiajie cable car station, ride up, and walk to those iconic Avatar mountain views. There might be a crowd there, so take a moment to enjoy it and then move on to the elevator. Bailong Elevator — a queue-free descent. Everyone wants to go up the elevator to see the views. Your hack — descend on it. The upper station is empty, and the cabin is all yours. The views are the same, but instead of waiting an hour in line, it’s just a 5-minute wait. By the way, the views at the bottom are stunning. Then, take the empty buses to the Tianzi cable car station. 🚡 Tianzi Cable Car — your personal lift. Stroll around the top and enjoy the views. 🔄 Then close the loop and return to the upper Yangjiajie station. I suggest revisiting the Avatar mountains and seeing those floating peaks — almost in solitude. You can wait until sunset. But remember, the cable car operates until 6:30 PM.
