3 Days in Zhangjiajie National Park: A Quick Intro

I recently spent 3 days exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and I have to admit, planning this trip felt *overwhelming* at first. There’s so much information out there, and the park itself is massive, with different entrances, cable cars, shuttles, and areas that can be confusing when you’re trying to figure it out from home. But here’s the good news: once you arrive, everything becomes so much easier. I chose to stay in Wulingyuan, which I highly recommend. It’s the most convenient base for exploring the park, with easy access to the East and South Gates, lots of food options, and plenty of hotels used to helping visitors navigate the area. Our hotel staff were incredibly helpful, they not only explained how the park works but also helped us buy our entrance tickets at a discounted rate and even gave us advice for planning our day-by-day itinerary. And inside the park, most paths, shuttles, and entrances are well-marked in English, so it’s much simpler than it looks when researching online.
