Tianmen. My personal experience and impressions🌄

Having arrived in China for two weeks and already visited Xi'an with its Terracotta Army and the Avatar Mountains, we finally arrived at "Hole Mountain" (as we called it among ourselves, trying to remember the name). We were lucky once again... during our visit in mid-November, a third of the cable car leading to the very top was closed. Instead, small shuttles were launched to cover that portion of the journey. We bought tickets on Trip.com and chose Route A. We didn't regret it... climbing the steps is very difficult (we preferred to take them down later), and five excavators up and you're in the "hole" itself. However, in my opinion, there's absolutely nothing to see in this particular location. Then you go up another five escalators and emerge onto observation decks with glass bridges. Incidentally, there are two of them, located in opposite directions from each other. It's best to budget a full day for this trip. You need to buy shoe covers to cross the glass bridges. There's a cafe at the top where you can grab a bite to eat...but it's best to bring a thermos and snacks so you can enjoy a beautiful view. The return journey takes you on a completely different cable car. You'll pass the theater where we saw the "Fox Fairy" performance the night before...🦊 I highly recommend checking it out. Then you'll reach the free shuttles (light green ones to the left of the stairs; listen for announcements over the loudspeaker), which will take you to the cable car boarding point.
