M43***62We order from here a lot as the food is usually good however tonight they missed stuff from our order and gave no dips for one of the dishes. When we called we were told “we aren’t a kebab shop and we never send wraps” they send them every time it’s part of the dish. Cannot believe how rude he was we will never order from here again! M43***62Visited the Christmas Light trail only as the Castle interiors were closed due to COVID restrictions (and I have been inside the Castle several times before.) I’m surprised to read some of the other less positive reviews on this site as I thought the light trail was very effective and reasonable value for money. It is obviously all outdoors due to the current circumstances. The theming and the music and narration is less obviously ‘Christmassy’ (no Santa’s and Elves) but much more appropriate for a Castle setting that will have witnessed more traditional Christmas celebrations over the centuries. There is a Medieval theme in places with lit tents and wooden ‘thrones’ for people to sit and take photos, The coloured lighting on the outside of the rear of the main castle building and the Boathouse across the lake were beautiful. The Christmas trees are simply lit in white lights but more effective for it in my opinion.Standard Balti House
