This one is one of those places where you have to follow the rules. I was ignorant, and honestly didn't know that Lenin was under glass when I went in. There was a long line, so it was crowded, and when I said something as I rounded the corner and saw him, the guard got very upset with me. I didn't know that you weren't allowed to make a noise in there. Be aware.

Living in Russia for many years has been an incredible journey. One of the most enchanting experiences was wandering through the iconic Red Square. Its sheer beauty and historical significance have left an indelible mark on my heart. From the awe-inspiring St. Basil's Cathedral to the grandeur of the Kremlin walls, every step in this square is a step into history. The vibrant colors of the buildings, especially during the winter, when snow blankets the square, create a surreal atmosphere that feels like stepping into a fairytale. The Red Square isn't just a place; it's a living museum of Russia's rich past and present. My time in Russia has been filled with unforgettable memories, but the Red Square, with its timeless charm, will forever remain a treasured part of my journey

Lenin's tomb is a famous building in Moscow. Located on the west side of the Red Square, built of red granite and black feldspar. The remains of Lenin, the proletarian revolutionary mentor, are placed in a crystal coffin inside the building, covered with the Soviet flag. The face and hands are illuminated by specially made lights, clear and serene. In 1994, Lenin's tomb was recognized by UNESCO as a "world historical and cultural heritage".

It's an interesting place, though I didn't have a chance to get inside, maybe it's under reconstruction.

The large stone mausoleum of the Soviet leader is located in the Red Square. Well worth the visit. It is free but usually you will need to queue up. You are not allowed to take photos. Outside the mausoleum is the Garden of Heroes with the graves of Stalin and other famous Russian figures.

Lenins mausoleum is a must visit when in Moscow. Lenins persevered body still lays inside the mausoleum, but probably not for long. Come here early as lines get long and it closes everyday at 1pm! The visit is totally free and worth it to see one of the most important people in Russia's history.
