If you want to feel the Swiss style in Australia, the town of Grindelwald in the north of Launceston, Tazhou is an excellent location. This town of Grindelwald, built entirely according to the Swiss town, is located in the beautiful scenery of Tamar Valley, on the way to Cradle Mountain in Launceston. It is a good choice to spend a leisurely afternoon here if you have plenty of time. The history of this Swiss town on the far side of Oceania is a touching love story. It is said that a Swiss couple came to Tasmania to live, but because the wife has not been able to adapt to the living environment, the whole day is depressed, the husband to make up for the wife's thinking plot, personally built several Swiss-style houses for him, Later, the neighbors followed suit, slowly forming the current Swiss-style village.

The Tamar Valley There are so many things to present, and it is easy to come from Launceston or the northwest coast. It is famous for its vineyards and cellars, featuring excellent cool climate wines, but there is more to see, there are great places to eat and live. Peppers in Georgetown is my favorite, but there are plenty of other popular attractions. Don't miss the Platypus House and Seahorse World in the Beautiful Corner, or the Gold Mine Museum in Beaconsfield, or the Maritime Museum at Low Head. Planning to spend some time here, there is so much to see.

I like the peace of the world, the various European-style buildings erecting on the street, and the friendly people here will always come forward to ask if they need help when they meet you with their old smiles and self-portraits.

The King's Bridge, built in 1867, spans the canyon. It feels amazing and pleasant to walk on this ancient bridge. The South Bank of the canyon is Tasmania's first basin, surrounded by swimming pools and woodlands. The North Bank of the tree-shaded Canyon is a cliff area, a Victorian garden, with a variety of special ferns and rich vegetation.

We walked along the river near our hotel (Riverside Inn) and saw great birdlife, a stunning park and waters edge trails which I believe lead all the way into town.
