Eketikoit’s more than museum, even if you are not that much interested in such places - just visit the area near the building itself, you will be surprised and amazed.

奔八老头周游世界The old Waqif market is built on the site of a century-old trade fair in Doha, the oldest Arab traditional market in Doha. It has a typical Arab-style building community, and hundreds of shops filled with a wide array of Middle Eastern specialties. A giant gold thumb sculpture is now the symbol of the old market. I saw desert roses for the first time here and saw eagles as pets for the first time. Free to visit.

Heisenberg SpeaksI would walk the Corniche. It is beautiful and there are coffee shops along the way where you can take a break while enjoying the view. You might also enjoy the market place. There are restaurants there or food stands. I imagine you would be able to fit both into your layover. I didn’t visit the museums but hear they are really interesting.

O.N.AThe multi -coloured apartments are beautiful. The man made canals, complete with boat rides, are awesome. We rounded up our visit to Pearl Qatar with dinner at Medina Centrale, a beautiful place to unwind and watch the beautiful expensive cars drive by.

长脸张少侠【National Mosque of Qatar】 Grand Mosque جامع الإمام محمد بن عبد الوهاب As the largest mosque in Qatar, the Imam Abdul Wahhab Mosque, also known as the Qatar National Grand Mosque, was completed in 2011. Simple lines and elegant arches are very eye-catching and full of traditional Islamic architectural features. The mosque has three libraries, separate prayer and fasting ablution halls for men and women, and a dedicated Quran recitation hall, which can accommodate more than 30,000 worshippers. The mosque adopts a beautiful and orthodox Islamic architectural style, and the interior decoration is fascinating, decorated with many hand-woven carpets with different patterns and 28 chandeliers that can automatically adjust the brightness according to the natural light coming through the windows. The National Grand Mosque was built by Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, the founder of Qatar, in memory of his father and named after Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhabi. Address: 8G84+R83, Al Muhandiseen St, Doha, Qatar Transportation: Take the Red Line of the subway to ‘corniche’ and walk for half an hour, or take bus T605 Time: 10:30-19:00 Tickets: Free

Lot of open places.Best park in Qatar , i would say. enough parking space, vast area of park, aerobic devises, large pond and boating, small food cabs and cafeteria and a good jogging road. The best place in Qatar to spend the family time with children. It s a very chic kid friendly park. Also very clean and there is a ton to do and lots of small snack shacks. I would recommend going during the day, do a quick walk/run drink a coffee and cross the street to do some shoppingGreat park and wide green area. Has a running course and a pond with geese in the center. Great place for a family outing. Its an awesome place for families and kids to play. Jogger and walking tracks available.Relax with your day out..... Enjoy.Weekends (Friday,Saturday) are filled with people. You have families come by with their kids with food packed from home , basically they have a picnic at the park on the weekends. This is one of of the many places where you find alot of people in Doha. Huge space, long walks along side the water which houses ducks and fishes , the over bridge and the walkway with the water from one side flowing out to the other side are few of the things you could enjoy there along with some eateries and coffee shops too This park in the middle of city in Doha where you feel like you get connected to the nature. Such a calm atmosphere and Peace vibes. Appreciate the management for maintaining it clean.Great place for a cool evening walk or a jog or a picnic or even to play. A huge green place. Loved the atmosphere.Lovely large green space in busy Doha! Well manicured lawns and beautifully landscaped park....a little dimly lit for some, though.Good synthetic track for walking, does not pain at all.Can take kids for a walkWell maintained lawn and treesSmall restaurants and refreshment availableSecurity patroling to monitor misbehaving publicCCTV cameras installed for surveillance
