The Athens Cup Pavilion is a monument near the Acropolis in Athens, the capital of Greece. The monument is famous for its first use of Collins pillars in building exterior decoration. The wealthy Athenians staged a theatrical performance at Dionysus Theatre called the "Dance Art Performing Conference" and then chased out the final champion after rounds of competition. The winner's prize is a bronze statue or a gold-plated tripod cup. Lysikrates won the final victory. He built the monument in 334 B.C. and decorated it with Collins-style columns on the outside. On the top of the monument was a tripod-shaped trophy he had won.

The Monument near the square stands tall and striking. The monument itself is not new. But it's shocking. It has a long history.
The monument is not far from the cathedral. It's on the side of the road. I often walk from here, but I don't seem to have taken any pictures. It looks like Fengshen Pagoda, but it is not as beautiful as Fengshen Pagoda. There are no beautiful sculptures. That's why it has been neglected.
古建築破壞嚴重,消費水平不低。
紀念碑很莊嚴肅穆,又歷史意義。
