Prince Kung's Mansion, located in Liuyin Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, is a key national cultural heritage site, a first-class national museum, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. It is the largest princely mansion of the Qing Dynasty. Prince Kung's Mansion, situated at the southwest corner of the picturesque Shichahai in Beijing, nestles in a quiet and lengthy alley shaded by green willows. It is the most completely preserved mansion among the existing princely mansions. The mansion was originally the private residence of He Shen, a powerful court official during the Qianlong Emperor's reign, and Yong Lin, the brother of Emperor Jiaqing. Prince Kung's Mansion, as the residence of a Qing Dynasty prince, has a well-organized architectural layout, exquisite craftsmanship, and interlaced pavilions, fully reflecting the splendid and opulent style of the royal family as well as the simple and elegant charm of the common people. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the property rights of the mansion once belonged to Fu Jen Catholic University. In 1988, the garden of Prince Kung's Mansion was opened to the public, and in 2008, after the completion of the mansion's renovation project, it was fully opened to the public. Prince Kung's Mansion is divided into three sections: central, eastern, and western, each consisting of multiple quadrangles, with a 160-meter-long two-story rear building at the back. |Prince Gong's Mansion is a great place for photography in winter. I decided to take a series of photos at Prince Gong's Mansion on a whim. The preparation was a bit rushed, but it felt very natural! There's a lake in the middle of the whole place where you can rent paddle boats. Do spent sometime in the garden and try to relax yourself.
