Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple, located in Delhi, India, is a Baháʼí House of Worship that was dedicated in December 1986. Notable for its flowerlike shape, it has become a prominent attraction in the city. Like all Baháʼí Houses of Worship, the Lotus Temple is open to all, regardless of religion or any other qualification. The building is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides,[2] with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34 meters[2] and a capacity of 2,500 people. The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards and has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles. A 2001 CNN report referred to it as the most visited building in the world.

This is a religious place and an architectural marvel as well! It looks like just a huge lotus flower from a distance. The aisle towards the temple makes you feel like walking towards a piece of beauty! Once you enter you can literally feel the silence and can meditate. It is a prominent attraction of the capital and I would recommend this place to everyone.

The Lotus Temple, a famous landmark in Delhi, also known as the Lingyu Temple, is said to have more visitors than the famous Taj Mahal. The Lotus Temple looks like a blooming lotus flower, symbolizing the mutual tolerance and coexistence of different religions. The "Sydney Opera House" is a "two buildings that can be talked about".

Its really an amazing landmark in India and definitely worth a visit. The area was safe and well taken care of.

This is an awesome temple.Look the architecture. Love the serenity of this place. There one have to remain silent in all moves. But mostly people perhaps do not know what exactly they are visiting. How silence is associated to word temple.
