Portobello Beach

The beach is very long, there are huge dams, the sea view here is still good, you can see a lot of small creatures on the beach, the beach environment is also good, it is very suitable for sightseeing, the air on the beach is also good, the sea breeze is a bit big. Very good environment, parking nearby is almost free. the beach house recommended by the restaurant, we chose here for both dinners. Locals walk dogs, picnics, camping at the beach, and have a lot of fun.

The day before leaving Edinburgh, ask the child how Edinburgh is by the sea, why there is no beach? The child told us about this beach. It was raining and the wind was very strong. The child suggested not to go because the wind was stronger there. I looked at the day and felt that there was a possibility of a sunny day. So our family of three took the bus to the beach. Character, arrived at the beach for a while, innocent. The beach is very large, there are no tourists, basically all nearby residents. When it's sunny, look at the sky, the blue is from near to far, from deep to shallow, it's really beautiful. The bus 1.6 pounds a single trip, 4 pounds all day until 11 pm to sit casually.

Great place on the outskirts of the city. Popular with locals walking their dogs, cycling, running and catching up at the weekend.

Nice beach with some cafes, pubs and restaurants

Just outside the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh lies the sleepy suburb of Portobello. Oft visited by vacationing Scots in the summer, the beach-side village is a great escape the narrow streets of the city. Chow down at one of the quaint restaurants or cafes, stroll along the beach and boardwalk, check out the little amusement park, make a sand castle. I can't advise going in the water (it's quite cold), but if you chose to do so, you wouldn't be the only one!

This is the beachfront area of town. It may not be tropical, but it's really pleasant, full of little streets, shops, things to see. A really nice walk.
