Strolling on the summit of Mount Omuro, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other, the greenery of the matcha mountains and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean are all in view, as if you are in a Hayao Miyazaki anime. This time, because I had a car, I went to both Mount Omuro and Mount Komuro. The scenery of the two mountains is indeed very similar, but on Mount Komuro you can see the complete 'matcha milk cap', and there is no need to queue for the Mount Komuro cable car, while you have to queue for about half an hour for Mount Omuro. So it depends on how you arrange your time. Izu also has the famous Kinosaki Coast, where there is a ten-kilometer coastal walking route.
