The origin of the name of rokujizo
Original Text
It is a temple that originated from the place name Rokujizo and is famous for visiting Rokujizo, but it is not a tourist attraction. However, since the mountain gate is open, you can freely enter the precincts.
I walked a little from the Keihan Electric Railway Rokujizo station. This area has been developed as a residential area with the extension of the subway. In the Heian period, Ono no Mikoto carved six Jizo from one tree and put one in Daizenji Temple. It is said that it became the place name of Rokujizo. It is a quiet temple and is not very touristy.
It is one of the six Jizo that is also the place name, but honestly, there is nothing in the wide precincts other than the Jizo-do. If you don't want to visit Rokujizo, you don't have to go all the way, no matter how close the station.
Go to "Daizenji" for a while! It is located at the intersection of the Kyoto Outer Loop Line and the highway leading to Uji, and it seems that it is also called Rokujizoson, and there seems to be a residence in Todo Takatora and Kobori Enshu called Rokujizo Mansion in this area. The precincts are beautifully maintained and easy to visit. The festival, Rokujizo Tour, is held on August 22nd ~ 23rd.
