Went there for a private party/ jam session. Really enjoyable. The original photos are totally out of date. Fish and chips are not served there. The couple that run the bar and did some cooking left ...

Depressing
Went because of the reviews. Could not see the views from the building as no one would help. Couldn't get any food as per the reviews and no bar to speak of.

Bar/food now closed until further notice.
Due to a dispute between the Management and the couple who run the bar, the bar and cooked food facility is closed until further notice. All events and classes remain open.

Great fish and chips
The friendly and helpful staff at Casa do Povo make for a pleasant visit to the (English-style) fish and chips Wednesday lunches. We paid 30 euros for two very large portions plus desserts and drinks.
