The church contains portraits of San Nino and a huge wooden cross called San Nino Cross, attracting a large number of believers to make a pilgrimage. The monastery is located on a rocky hilltop near the ancient city of Mzheta, overlooking the intersection of the Kula and the Aragvi rivers and the ancient city of Mzheta.
