Château de Pierrefonds (the pendragon castle)

The castle, situated next to the forest halfway to the city of Gombigne, was destroyed several times from the 14th century and was eventually rebuilt by Napoleon III as a palace, with a very obvious and majestic military use.

The castle was originally built by the Duke of Orleans in 1393 next to a defensive military castle built in the forest near the city of Gombigne, but was later destroyed and rebuilt by Napoleon.

It was a defensive castle built by Charles V's second son next to the nearby forest, so the castle was more military than his living use, and the display of life scenes was not particularly large.
