The fairy-tale town hidden deep in the mountains of Japan - Shirakawa-go
Oh, finally came to the fairy-tale world in reality: Shirakawa-go
❄️The first time I knew about Japan's gassho-zukuri architecture was on a Christmas day in a certain year, when I accidentally brushed a photo of Shirakawa-go lighting up.
"Does such a beautiful place really exist in the world?"
"But, such a dreamy village should be inconvenient for transportation..." "I haven't got a Japanese driver's license yet, cry."
I thought so at the time, and then the travel plan for Shirakawa-go was shelved for many years.
This time I happened to live in Nagoya, and suddenly felt close to Shirakawa-go. I checked the transportation and found that departing from Nagoya, taking the express bus (Meitetsu Bus, etc.), it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to get there! It turns out to be like this! That's not far away!
Set off immediately!
The first time I stepped into Shirakawa-go, I found that the village was much larger than I imagined, and I had to walk over a large suspension bridge at the entrance.
The roads in the village are very spacious, with many ancient buildings, small shops and local cuisine.
The check-in points where everyone often takes photos on the Internet: the observatory on the top of the mountain where you can take a panoramic view, you actually need to take a car to get up.
The scenery is very healing, just a little snow to embellish it! Um~ Living in such a World Heritage village must be dreamy!
It's like a paradise, everyone must come and see if you have the chance!
In addition, if you are traveling from China, it is also recommended to enter from Chubu International Airport. If you live in Nagoya, the cost performance of hotels and other places is very high, and it is convenient to go to Kyoto and other surrounding areas!
Hehe, see you on our next trip! Shirakawa-go

it is such a winter fairy tale. I visited here during a snow showering day and everything is blanketed in pure white. it is a moment of my life
Came to visit at night time so I couldn't fully explore the place. However, I was impressed by its unique and beautiful houses. Would definitely go back soon.
Shirakawa Township is located in a relatively high place, the weather is sunny and rainy, it is best to prepare rain gear and keep warm. The ditch is clean enough to be used for fish farming, and surprisingly there are salmon. Baichuan Township is not too big, but the scenery is too beautiful. When you walk, you will forget the time and only remember to stop and enjoy the scenery. When I went there, it happened to be autumn, there were red leaves 🍁 yellow leaves 🍂. Suitable for couples, family tours.
In the autumn, it takes2.5 hours to drive from Nagoya. Although it snows, it has another flavor.
The first time I went to Baichuan Township, I didn’t cut the lights, and it snowed ❄️❄️ I must go again next time... I want to see the scenery of spring, summer and autumn, it should be unforgettable.
