An interesting Medieval Tower with great views from the top.

We came across this interesting medieval attraction whilst spending a short visit to Stranraer. it is situated in the centre of the town and has a number of floors accessed by a wide spiral staircase....

There's not masses which could be done with the building but it has been made as interesting as possible with information about the various uses it was put to over the years.

Surprise find

Well worth a visit. This castle in the centre of Stranraer was unknown to us and we are glad we visited it. Happy to give a donation to this well refurbished building. Gift shop needs rethought out...

A great place to visit.

This was just ace (& free). There was info/exhibits in each of the rooms & the view from the open rooftop was just amazing. The steps were a bit steep & windy so maybe not suitable if you're not that ...
