Located in Navona Square, "Four Rivers Fountain" is a fountain designed by Benigni for the Roman tent, Pope Philip's palace. Four rivers refer to the four great rivers conquered by mankind - "Danube, Ganges, Nile, Rio De La Rio de la Plata; and these four rivers represent the four continents of human civilization - "Danube for Europe, Ganges for Asia, Nile for Africa, Rio De La Plata for America. Here, the author uses four marble statues to symbolize four rivers, with rockeries and an Egyptian-style square granite spire in the middle, implying the victory of Catholicism in the world. The sculpture is surrounded by a huge pool of water, in the middle of which a rockery is built with limestone, and the outlets of the fountains are set there.
