Washington Hill is in the southern part of Pittsburgh, across the river from DownTown. The mountain overlooks Pittsburgh's skyline and is said to have been named the second most beautiful (and best urban) scenic spot in the United States. Overlooking Pittsburgh at night on Washington Hill is a beautiful view recommended by locals. There is a cable car up and down the hill. The cable car has been in operation for more than 100 years. The cable car station has been around for years, and even the stove in the ticket office is an old thing. There is a viewing platform on the hill, which overlooks the confluence of the two rivers in Pittsburgh and DownTown. In fact, there is a view everywhere on the hill. There is St. Mary's Church on the hill, and the residential buildings are also distinctive.
