We walked from Neve Zohar to Zohar fortress (about a 20 min walk each way). It was a nice little hike in nice scenery. There is not much of the fortress left and there are no signs explaining anythin...

you reach this by self drive from Arad to Eilat. no tour companies take you there. unless its a customised tour. very scenic, can get extremely hot, do carry enough water and large hat

If you want to really enjoy this place, you need to have a car waiting for you down the canyon, near Neve Zohar. That was not our case. We started from the Arad-Dead Sea highway, where there is a sign...
hard to find and scary to pull off the road
I never got to to do the hike... I am sure the hike is amazing, but I had a hard time finding a safe way to pull off the road with trucks and cars zooming by. I wish I had found a local to help me......
