We stayed at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel after previously staying at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, and the difference was clear. The Hong Kong property looks grand and the staff are nice, but overall, it feels less polished for what it charges. Shanghai simply delivers more value and magic for the same price range.   In Shanghai, guests get plenty of small in-room Disney gifts—little touches that make you feel like you’re getting something special. Hong Kong gives much less, which feels stingy given the price point. Shanghai guests also get early park access and a dedicated entrance that makes the whole experience smoother and faster. In Hong Kong, that same “exclusive” entrance is only for corporate guests or top-tier passholders—and ironically slower than the normal queue.   Food is another weak point. Everything at the Hong Kong hotel is extremely expensive but average in taste. It’s not about affordability—it’s just not worth the price, especially when compared to Shanghai’s Disneytown, which has plenty of solid non-Disney dining options nearby.   Hong Kong Disneyland does have a peaceful, nostalgic charm and fewer crowds, which might work for families with small kids. But if you want better park perks, more excitement, and food options that justify what you pay, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel is hard to beat.   In short: Hong Kong is elegant but overpriced and slower in experience; Shanghai is better planned, more energetic, and offers more for your money.

Disney's Luxury Hotel Okay, I guess no one really reads reviews anyway... Those who can afford it will book directly, and no matter how good I make it sound, those who can't won't book. My gripe: The walls between rooms are very thin, so the soundproofing is poor. In the morning, the constant buzzing of a phone vibrating against a wooden headboard next door was so annoying! It was that low-frequency hum that just drives you crazy! I called room service, but they were hesitant and didn't dare to intervene, just playing mediator the whole time... Who knows if it was a phone or something else, but it just kept vibrating, damn it! Otherwise, almost everything else was great. Especially after leaving the pool, there's a coastal promenade behind it, and thousands of meters of private coastline, which felt really special. It's suitable for those with energy to go for a run during a few days of vacation. Hong Kong Disneyland generally isn't very crowded, and guests at the three hotels can use hotel pathways. The best way to enjoy it is to enter the park after 11 AM during the off-season (you can ride everything by 6 PM). Wait times for each attraction are 3-10 minutes, and many even start before they're full. It's much faster than even the priority passes during peak season, no crowds at all. Everyone, buy all sorts of accessories and headbands on Taobao beforehand – you can wear anything! They only check for large amounts of food and big bottles of drinks. The accessories are all made in Yiwu, and the quality from mainland China is even better than what's sold in the park. In the park, they cost 169-249 HKD, which is enough to buy a super unappetizing turkey leg (take my advice, you'll regret it) or a similar lunch. They say they check for selfie sticks, but many people have them inside; I suggest not bringing one unless you want your girlfriend to film some **dancing videos that I like. There's a shuttle bus from the hotel to Disneyland, and you can also take it to store your luggage. I don't recommend leaving Hong Kong Disneyland right after playing; the fireworks show isn't impressive enough for mainlanders... I don't understand girls' obsession with fireworks; it's just crowds, what's there to see? However. If I come again, I definitely won't choose one of the three hotels. A hotel in Tsuen Wan for 1/3 the price is a much better deal, and the travel time is about the same. The money saved could potentially create bigger miracles in Macau 🙊🐶🐶 Service: Top-notch 🔝

Excellent! Even though it is not the most expensive but still outstanding in terms of its equipment quality and ambience for a Disney’s wonderful stay out of the reality💫 I enjoyed the breakfast but the options seem a bit less attractive and fewer choices. But I definitely loved to see Donald Duck in the morning that his hug really cheer my day up!

I booked the dinosaur themed room and the reaction of my daughters was fantastic when I asked them to go into the room first. Their screams of delight and surprise were priceless. The hotel is on the the top floor of an ark shaped building and in an interesting and scenic location on Ma Wan island - it makes a good picture from the outside. I read somewhere that this Ark was built to the dimensions of Noah’s Ark described in the Bible, which is pretty fascinating. I like the ethos of the hotel which emphasises looking after our environment (we only have one Earth) and respecting nature and one another. Our room was perfect for a family of 4. It has two showers and two toilets which is very unusual for any hotel room, but very convenient when all trying to get ready at the same time. I recommend this for a family stay.

This is our second staying here. It is very close to the beach, we really like this area. We really enjoyed our first stay,. On the second stay the first 2 mornings breakfast was served on paper plates with disposable cutlery. We were quite taken a back, it really makes the hotel look cheap and is not a sustainable practice. Considering the last 2 mornings it was a different cook and food was served on normal plates and coffee in coffee cups (which is for more sustainable and better for the environment), it really just seemed like the kitchen staff were to lazy to clean the dishes and that is why paper plates were used. However staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean.

I’d not say that the hotel is the best, but it’s nice. I had everything what I needed, but the AC was very noisy in my room. The beautiful sea view made me happy. Morning breakfast was nice and delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant stops serving dinner very early. So, I enjoyed tasting food somewhere else. I’ve liked walking by the beach, watch some animals and hear birds singing. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing area. There’re many cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. I’ve just had one night, but I could take a rest.

Although I arrived at the hotel early and couldn't check in immediately, they offered free luggage storage and even upgraded me to a sea-view room. The hotel's shuttle service was very convenient, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's not far from the beach and provides a quiet, comfortable stay. Highly recommend! 👍

Very nice hotel. The only issue we had was that when we first arrived, the receptionist took quite a long time to process our check-in. They could definitely improve their service in that area. We also got a room upgrade for a lower price (plus taxes), which was great. We enjoyed our stay even though it was short (from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) since we had to transfer to another hotel afterward.

A nice and clean hotel. Location is easy to find. The drop off and pick up point outside the lobby is street level so it is very convenient if you bring a large luggage. There is a night market at Temple street across the street. If you like dim sum for breakfast. There are two dim sum cafe near by. Value for money and very satisfied with the experience.

My flight was delayed, so I didn't get to check in until after midnight. The hotel front desk generously upgraded me to a suite, which genuinely moved me. In my decades of staying in hotels in Hong Kong, I have never experienced such wonderful treatment. It's incredible that I got such a spacious suite for just a few hundred – I couldn't even get something like this for thousands previously.

We arrived late, maybe 11.30pm, but were greeted warmly and checked in smoothly. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and the environment peaceful. Shower was hot and worked well, all towels and linen were clean, toilet was clean, and the room itself clean enough. It looked like it must have been a child's bedroom once because there were glow-in-the-dark decals of planets stuck on the walls and ceiling. This room is fine if you are traveling on a budget and need somewhere to sleep and keep your things while you explore Hong Kong, location is away from the centre but metro a short walk that will take you straight to Central Station. Was a bit difficult to find down a back street.

The location is excellent, right across the street from Tin Hau MTR Station Exit A1, making transportation very convenient. You can even walk to Causeway Bay. Nearby, there's Tin Hau Temple and Victoria Park, and within a one-kilometer radius, there's a great selection of food. The room was clean; although the size can't compare to mainland hotels, it was perfectly adequate for two people. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was no impolite behavior towards guests from the mainland. When I checked in, they even offered to help with my luggage, which was a very comfortable experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even came down to meet me when I arrived at 3:30 PM and assisted me with my luggage. Took my kids to Hong Kong to watch the Ronaldo Saudi Super Cup final. Saw it opened in '09 and decided to take a gamble on it. Turns out, it completely exceeded my expectations! A veteran five-star hotel truly is in a league of its own. As soon as we walked in, we saw a signed Ronaldo jersey – the atmosphere was incredible! Facilities: Even though it opened in '09, it's incredibly well-maintained. Cleanliness: Spotless, absolutely nothing to complain about. Environment: No weird smells at all, a pleasant surprise. Service: Excellent.

I booked this hotel three months in advance for a family visit in Hong Kong. It's very close to where my relatives live, and for Hong Kong standards, the room size is quite spacious, offering excellent value for money. It's super convenient to get to – just turn right after exiting Chai Wan MTR Station, and you're at Youth Square. We stayed on the 13th floor; although the hallway felt a bit retro, the building's facilities were great, and the air conditioning was strong. The room was clean, and both the AC and hot water worked perfectly. I particularly liked the sink. The bathroom was small, only big enough for one person; if you're a larger person, even turning around might be a bit tight. I prefer not to have housekeeping, so I kept the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on for a few days. They offer a complimentary simple breakfast from 8-10 AM. There are plenty of good eateries around, and they're generally cheaper than in the bustling city center. There's a restaurant called Tak Sing Restaurant where you can enjoy dim sum for breakfast. Overall, this hostel offers good value for money.

The receptionist is efficient and fast. The room is quite clean for the price i paid. If you're someone especially solo traveler who travels in budget and just needs a place to sleep, i recommended this hotel. The location is in the center of the city, busses and subway easily accessible on foot, the hotel is on the 3rd floor and lift available. There are plenty of restaurants on the ground floor, and the convenience store is within walking distance.

Considering how space is at a premium in Hong Kong, this hotel is pretty decent. Traveling solo, the single room was just right. The room even came with mainland Chinese power outlets. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to messages. It was also easy to find. The location is great for getting around, with the MTR station nearby. The only minor issue was that the room wasn't very soundproof. Despite that, I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

I'm a solo female traveler. The room is super small, but fantastic for the price and location. The entrance is right next to the metro stairs, so no wandering around searching and getting tired. You just have to take the lift on the right hand. The staff (female) were incredibly helpful — messaging me clear directions, providing all the information from booking onward, and being so accommodating. The room amenities were fully equipped. The only downside was the entrance, which felt a bit scary imp. And the floor/layout is just like the photo.

Pros: 1. **Upgrade**: Upon check-in, they proactively upgraded us to a classic suite. I suspect this was a thoughtful gesture, as their standard rooms are quite small, and the staff probably noticed our family of three had a lot of luggage. 2. **Convenient Location**: The hotel is very well-located for exploring. There are famous restaurants nearby, such as Australia Dairy Company and Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop (Michelin-rated). The hotel provides a food map at check-in. Temple Street Night Market is within walking distance, and there are several seafood stalls nearby selling live mantis shrimp, crabs, and razor clams. We didn't get a chance to try them this time, so I can't comment on the taste. It's also a pleasant walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and Victoria Harbour during the day. 3. **On-site Dining**: The hotel itself has a rich variety of dining options within its food street. 4. **Airport Shuttle**: The A21 airport bus is very convenient. It costs around HKD 30 (half-price for children) and you can get off at Ning Po Street, then it's a five-minute walk to the hotel. Payments can be made via WeChat Pay, Alipay, or credit card. Each person needs to scan their own QR code; you can't use one for multiple people. Make sure to prepare your payment beforehand, or you might get a scolding if you're too slow, and they don't give change. Cons: 1. **Aging Facilities in Suite**: The hotel is older, though it was renovated around 2018. While the room was clean, the facilities felt a bit dated. The most inconvenient part of the suite (room 725, for reference) was having to shower in the bathtub, as there was no separate shower stall. Moreover, the drainage was severely clogged and very slow. It started backing up the moment we turned on the water, not just halfway through the shower. By the end, the water would reach ankle-deep, which was quite exaggerated. I didn't complain because I felt it was due to the old building structure, and I doubted staff could fix it immediately. 2. **Restaurant Experience (Yat Tung Heen)**: One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the convenience of dining at Yat Tung Heen (a Michelin-starred restaurant). However, I personally found the roast meats and dim sum to be rather ordinary. If you consider yourself a connoisseur of roast meats and Hong Kong-style dim sum, you might want to skip it. The dining environment was pleasant, though. Furthermore, we booked for Monday lunch at 11 AM, not during a busy weekend, but by 12 PM, the manager came to ask if we wanted to order anything else because 'there were other guests waiting.' This was very impolite. If a customer declines extra orders, there's no need to add that last part; they might even appreciate the offer more. This incident further solidified my impression that customer service in Hong Kong can be lacking. After his question, I felt rushed and the rest of the meal was very tense.

## Environment: The hotel room was quite spacious and comfortable. It's very close to Victoria Harbour, and walking to Tsim Sha Tsui East and Tsim Sha Tsui MTR stations is also very convenient. I'm not sure if I got an upgraded room type, but my room even had a walk-in closet. ## Service: The hotel room essentially met all my requirements. I chose a twin room this time because the king-size rooms were smoking rooms. Our room was on a higher floor, close to the elevator yet still quiet, and we could see a partial view of Victoria Harbour from outside. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful; they would proactively offer help whenever they saw us. ## Hygiene and Facilities: The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. All the amenities are quite new and very clean, though the facilities themselves are relatively classic/retro. ## Breakfast: Breakfast was a mix of Western and Cantonese cuisine. The variety of dishes was relatively rich, and the Cantonese dim sum was delicious. They offered freshly cooked pork rib or fish ball noodles/vermicelli, and the most thoughtful part was being able to add as much noodles or vermicelli as you wanted.

I booked 5 days in advance and specifically requested a twin room in my reservation notes. Upon arrival, the front desk informed us that twin rooms typically require at least a week's advance booking. They offered a complimentary upgrade to an 1.8-meter king-size bed. Ultimately, we opted to pay an additional 500+ per night to upgrade to a suite, which included an extra bed in the living room and complimentary children's breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located directly above Harbour City mall. It's approximately a 10-minute walk from West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, and both Austin and Tsim Sha Tsui MTR stations are also about a 10-minute walk away.

Starry Inn is a walking distance to Ladies Market, restaurants and shops, Sneaker Street, banks, buses, etc. The staffs on WeChat are very responsive, nice and friendly. She allowed us to extend for an hour before check out. The room is fine, but the elevator in the building didn’t work twice or three times our stay. The wifi is sometimes slow or very slow, and you’re disconnected at times. The water in the toilet floor takes times to dry and the water stays longer when you take a shower. The aircon needs to be turned on at all times because it doesn’t work well, or the cooler needs to be repaired. The room is very hot. But overall, we had a peaceful stay. You can stay here if you want to save money for a group of 4.

The service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and eager to assist, making me feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The food was another highlight — the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, and the in-house dining was just as impressive. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean even though there were signs of wear and tear. Be aware that they provide daily disposable paper bath towels instead of cloth towels. No hand or face towels provided. I had to ask for hand soap to be provided to us. Hand sink shares the same area with beds. The safe battery was low by the fourth day. Bed linen was great and room keeping services were outstanding. We needed cleanup from an accident and they took care of it promptly for us.

I feel extremely lucky to have found this little gem in Hong Kong. The dorms are extremely well laid out, with plenty of space for the suitcase and personal belongings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean, the common areas are cosy, there's everything you need in terms of kitchen utensils, the water pressure in the showers is amazing, the rooftop is a really place to hang out in the evenings, and most of all, the host Patricia makes you feel at home. I got there solo, and after a few nights I'm leaving with a bunch of friends. This place certainly has a magical power 😊

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient! 📍Room 503, 5/F, Haiphong Mansion, 53-55 Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (Take airport bus A21 to stop 14, Cameron Road, takes about 54 minutes). Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is right downstairs, and the A21 airport bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away. I chose this hotel specifically to attend a concert at Kai Tak! It's about a 10-minute walk to Tsim East MTR station (from Tsim East, you can take the Tuen Ma Line directly to Kai Tak Sports Park, which is only 6 stops and very convenient, costing 6.8 HKD one way). However, the room is indeed very small. It's perfectly fine for one person, but for two adults, it might be a bit cramped, especially with luggage! So, I highly recommend it for solo travelers! Within about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach New Harbour City, K11, Avenue of Stars, and China Ferry Terminal (where you can pick up City Line tickets). For food, I recommend: 1. Genki Sushi on the 2nd floor of Silvercord, a 5-minute walk away (great value for money, the sashimi is really fresh, and the tuna trio is a must-try – the melt-in-your-mouth tuna is absolutely divine). 2. For dim sum breakfast, Kowloon Cafe is just a 3-minute walk downstairs. Their breakfast set includes a Hong Kong-style milk tea for just 3 HKD, and it tastes very authentic.

This family hotel is in a great location, just two blocks from Mong Kok Station. There's an elevator. The rooms are small, only 10 square meters, but they have everything you need (private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, a fan, and an adapter). Our room didn't have a window, but thankfully, we didn't feel stuffy. The owner is a beautiful woman and very kind. The staff are also very helpful and eager to help with any questions. We arrived early, and the owner even said there were two rooms available for us to choose from. The door requires a code, which is very secure. The value for money is excellent.

A pleasant surprise! There's a lively bar street right downstairs, attracting a fun international crowd. The front desk staff were excellent, explaining everything very clearly. The location is truly central. The bathrooms here are exceptionally spacious. Fantastic value for money! Just a heads-up, they no longer provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, so remember to bring your own.
