#istanbul The Hagia Sophia, or Aya Sophia, is a majestic building, built in 537. A sense of scale and antiquity accompanied me throughout my walk. ⭐It's gratifying that almost 1,500 years later, anyone can visit the cathedral, behold its grandeur, and literally touch history. ⭐The fusion of cultures is striking: Byzantine mosaics coexist with Arabic calligraphy. ⭐Peace and tranquility reign, despite the large crowds. ⭐The cathedral is of significant cultural significance and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I visited for free, but admission will be charged starting January 15, 2024. 📍Address: Sultan Ahmet, Ayasofya Meydanı. Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and the Archaeological Museum are all within walking distance. #attraction

Stepping into Turkish Airlines' Business Class Lounge in Istanbul, you'll find everything you need: from traditional Turkish snacks and hot meals, a live cooking station, a dessert area, a coffee bar, and a beverage cart, to meeting rooms, showers, and a lounge area—it has everything! 🤩 There are plenty of seating areas, from an open lobby to private corner seats. However, it's incredibly crowded—during peak hours, you might find yourself unable to find a seat even after walking around! (And not every seat has a power outlet!) I was hoping to explore the aviation museum exhibit, but unfortunately, it's currently under renovation. I had a chance to stop over at Istanbul Airport 🇹🇷 and my baggage was checked through, so I wanted to go out and walk around Istanbul... but I was worried that it would be dangerous for a woman traveling alone in Turkey... because I landed at 22.30 and it was past 11pm when I left the airport. But after finding information about safety, I decided to take the Havaist bus to stay at a hotel in the Taksim area 😴 so that in the morning I could go out and walk around the city and conveniently take the bus back to the airport... 🚶🏻♀️➡️which was a very good decision. Istanbul is beautiful in its architecture and is also a city of 2 continents. The Bosphorus Strait is the border between Europe and Asia. In April, the weather is cool but you might encounter rain. But luckily, the day we went, the sky was beautiful and the weather was great. 🥰... I secretly fell in love with this city and will probably choose to visit Turkey seriously next time because there is a free visa for Thais to travel comfortably... The people are friendly. ❤️ 🏖️Environment/Facilities: Spending money for a connecting flight like us... choose to spend at stores that accept credit cards. Don't worry about exchanging money. Today, I explored Balat, one of Istanbul’s most vibrant and charming neighborhoods. Known for its colorful old houses, the streets here exude a nostalgic atmosphere, with hidden surprises around every corner. Balat was once home to Jewish, Greek, and Armenian communities, giving it a diverse cultural background. The Renkli Evler (Colorful Houses) are the most iconic part of the district—painted in bright shades of red, yellow, blue, and green, turning every street into a photographer’s dream! Unlike other tourist-heavy spots, Balat has a laid-back and authentic vibe. While there are plenty of visitors, you can still feel the essence of local life—kids playing in the streets, residents chatting outside their homes, and the scent of fresh pastries from neighborhood bakeries.
