This is an honest review. We enjoyed the holiday; as we always say, what you make of the holiday counts…. But there is a lot to say about the area and the hotel… After travelling around the world and staying in many 4-star hotels, Akron Seascapes is DEFINITELY not a 4-star, in my opinion. The area in Sidari is very run down and far from the normal Greek expectations we had from Zante. Swim-up Room The swim-up room is a waste of money as out of all of them that I saw, only about 2 of them ever get sun. The rooms are very nice and modern with a very comfortable bed. The new bathroom has an electric point and hair dryer for the ladies. The hot water in the shower only works if no one else is showering in the complex simultaneously, and there is barely any pressure. The room came with tea and coffee and a kettle, which should be expected in today’s world. The maids cleaned them daily; they did a fantastic job and were friendly. Each room came with a safe, which was no extra charge. Food This was one of the biggest flaws in the hotel. The food was terrible, and we were not fussy eaters. Flies are always over the food. The same five desserts all week. Undercooked chicken, even the chicken nuggets were pink inside. The salad was the same five things all week. Rice was hard most of the time. No normal sausages in the morning. No sauces such as tomato or brown sauce. Very poor quality of food. What we found very strange is that all tables had some cheap throw over and you had to get your own cutlery, for a 4 star the standards are low. Drink The drinks were not the best. Most of the time, both the top bar and the pool bar were running out of Coke, so they offered Coke Zero, and when that ran out, they moved to cheap cola, which was awful. The cocktails were horrible, and most of the bar staff didn’t know how to make them correctly and were asking me! Constantly running out of cups, glasses, and straws. Pool The pool is very clean but showing signs of being dated as the plastic guards all around the pool were either broken or missing. On the plus side, getting to the pool was never a rush. We turned up at 11 a.m., and there were LOADs of sunbeds available, which were very comfortable. One advice I would say is to use Dry Oil spray and not cream; otherwise, you will be a mosquito’s dinner, as they are everywhere. The music constantly changed from one type to another and played at various levels throughout the day. Entertainment There is no entertainment or reps throughout the day, so it is boring. If you have kids, I strongly recommend not to bother. Out of 7 nights, there were only 2 things on, and it was rubbish. Staff The staff work hard and long hours, and it shows. Some had given up and were moody, whilst others, you could tell were trying their best to be positive. Nightlife The area is very rundown and situated on a narrow road with no pavements. If you sit on the front bar, you will spend most of the night breathing in exhaust fumes from a

+ le cadre extérieur est exceptionnel avec le Canal D’Amour à moins de 50 m du bar et de la piscine de l’hôtel ! Outre le côté photogénique, c’est un plaisir de s’y baigner (pour les adultes du moins) et vous avez même l’occasion de vous baigner dans la mer à l’ombre (!) dès 17h (du fait des rochers autour). + piscine de belle taille avec profondeur suffisante + all inclusive (comme souvent pour le local), + si vous souhaitez malgré tout vous faire un resto extérieur, il y en a à profusion dans un rayon de 50 à 300m, + ménage de la chambre effectué correctement et en prenant le temps, + comme le wifi n’était pas bien noté, nous avions précisé lors de la réservation par booking que nous souhaitions une bonne connexion. Conclusion : ils nous ont gratuitement upgrades dans une chambre proche de la réception, premium avec piscine ! (Partagée avec 3 autres chambres et profondeur max de 1m40 ; donc super puisque gratuit mais ne vaudrait pas les 500 ou 600 eur de plus à la semaine). Nous avons aussi pu prolonger d’une nuit suite au problème de santé. + espace bar extérieur agréable pour la soirée aussi, + personnel de la réception et du restaurant très serviable (et des circonstances exceptionnelles (prbl physique sur place indépendant de l’hôtel) nous ont amené à recourir à eux à de nombreuses reprises; merci encore à eux). Bon anglais généralisé dans l’hôtel. - la nourriture n’est pas « mauvaise » mais les buffets ne sont pas exceptionnels non plus (il y a du choix mais l’artisanal est limité). Ce n’est pas du tout la cata mais il ne faut pas y aller expressément pour la nourriture non plus. J’aurais mis 4.5 si TripAdvisor le permettait mais, vu le choix obligé, c’est un 5 au vu des services reçus. NB : * arret des bus Green Lines (en provenance de la ville et de l’aéroport de Corfou) à environ 600 m de l’hôtel. Idem pour docteur généraliste et pharmacie…. * N’hésitez pas à vous renseigner avant aupres de la réception sur la localisation de la chambre car leur localisations et expositions varient. * N’y recherchez pas une compagnie francophone : la clientèle est presqu’exclusivement anglaise et, dans une moindre mesure, allemande.

Umgebung: Das Hotel liegt in Sidari, einem sehr belebten Ort direkt am Canal d‘ amour. In den Ort muss man ca. 10min. laufen. Auf dem Weg dahin kommt man an vielen Restaurants vorbei. Der Canal d‘amour ist ein beliebter Ausflugsort. Vor allem durch die Höhle, die man durchschwimmen kann und dem Ausblick am Abend auf die untergehende Sonne. Lage: 4-5 Sterne Hotel: Das Hotel wirkt auf den Fotos der Homepage sowie im Internet wie ein schönes neues Hotel. Auch das Essen auf den Onlinefotos sieht super aus. Leider entspricht nicht alles den Tatsachen. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und müsste vor allem im Restaurant und an der Poolbar , sowie an der Rezeption renoviert werden. An der Rezeption müsste man die Tische austauschen, an denen man sitzt um auf das Zimmer zu warten. Der 1. Eindruck zählt!!! In dem Restaurant müssen die großen Ventilatoren weg und die Bilderrahmen ( 2mal dasselbe Foto) sollten erneuert werden. Grüne Pflanzen würden alles noch verschönern. Auch die Tische und Stühle sowie die Präsentationstheken des Essens sollten erneuert werden. Man kann aus dem Hotel noch etwas sehr Besonderes machen vor allem mit der Lage und der Größe ! Die Zimmer waren renoviert und sauber ! Auch der Privatpool war in Ordnung. Hotel: 3 Sterne Essen &All inklusive Das Essen ist völlig in Ordnung. Es ist für uns kein Essen eines 4 Sterne Hotels gewesen, aber zu Hause isst man schließlich viel weniger und hat weniger Auswahl. Es gibt sehr viel zur Auswahl und es ist gut gewürzt. Vor allem griechische Spezialitäten. Es wäre super wenn man kleine Waffelcups für Honig oder Marmelade hätte. Brötchen wären gut nicht nur Brot. Mehr Auswahl beim Müsli und Joghurt ( Erdbeer) wären empfehlenswert. Das Eis ist lecker und hat den Kindern geschmeckt. Bei den Getränken sollten sie an der Bar darauf achten die Colaflaschen etc… zu schließen, da die Kohlensäure weg ist und somit die Getränke nicht mehr schmecken. Man kann sich natürlich auch kleinere Flaschen Cola etc.. an der Bar kaufen. ;-) Essen: 3 Sterne Personal: Für uns hätte das Hotel seine 4 Sterne für sein Personal verdient. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Weiter so!! Personal : 4 Sterne Musikprogramm Wer Musik mag ist hier genau richtig. Abends spielt fast jeden Tag eine Band. Es sind immer unterschiedliche Bands vor Ort. Leider wird teilweise am Pool die Musik von 2 verschiedenen Orten gespielt. Da würde ein Ort ausreichen. Musikprogramm: 3-4 Sterne Allgemeines: Es wurde uns bei der Ankunft ein Teller mit Abendbrot gereicht. Da wäre es super wenn man die Wurst vom Kuchen trennen würde. Also ein Teller mit den süßen Sachen und der andere mit den herzhaften Dingen. Sonst schmeckt der Kuchen nach Wurst. Es war aber eine nette Aufmerksamkeit. Danke ! Bedienung im Restaurant mit Getränken wäre nett und Bestellung von Getränken an die Liege per App auch. Das Spa sollte sich mehr präsentieren. Le staff très professionnel, accueil parfait et installation très bien. Un seul petit bémol est la diversité de la cuisine. Par contre, les plats étaient très bons. Emplacement idéal, tout proche du canal de l'amour, des tavernes et de la vie nocturne. La chambre sur 2 niveaux est parfaite pour une famille de 4 personnes.

Hotel simpático, situado na zona de Sidari, no norte da ilha. De positivo: As instalações estão bem conservadas,a decoração dos quartos é simpática, camas confortáveis, boa limpeza e funcionários bastante prestáveis e simpaticos. É um hotel pequeno no que toca ao número de hóspedes, o que faz com que haja sempre espreguiçadeiras na zona da piscina disponíveis, e sem grande confusão na hora das refeições. A carta de TI também é completa, com bons cocktails e bebidas de marcas internacionais. De negativo: o restaurante é bastante repetitivo, praticamente só com uma ou as vezes até nenhuma alternativa de peixe (no quarto tinha uma flyer com a descrição que todos os dias o jantar teria um tema: italiano/grego/corfu/africano, etc. Mas a verdade é que nunca vi um único prato temático. O cortinado dos quartos não faz blackout, o que faz com que as 6.30 da manhã esteja literalmente dia dentro do quarto. A animação, tanto diurna e noturna são bastante simples e desinteressantes. Exceptuando uma noite de concerto rock que até gostei, as restantes não consegui assistir mais do que 15 minutos... somando tudo isto, não sendo um hotel brilhante, está bem acima da média!
