Lo que mas me gustó del hotel Secrets Akumal fue los detalles y buen gusto con que estaba adornado las areas exteriores del hotel. La variedad y calidad de los restaurantes. En este sentido queria destacar al restaurante Oceana por sus deliciosos platos y el buen servicio. Ademas el SPA es fantástico y las habitaciones limpias y acogedoras El personal de servicio brindo un excelente y profesional servicio destancanfo nuestro concierge Alonso y Saul del restaurante Sea Side. Yo recomiendo el hotel

Ive been to this resort over 10 times but this time since Hytt bought izs just not the same anymore. The food, staff and everything else.

This property was amazing and we highly recommend it. Staff and service are among the best we have ever had and food, drink and beach options are best in class. Only real issue was on check in where we did not immediately get the upgrade which made us want to choose this resort in the first place. We picked this resort because of our gold VIP status with ******* including free room upgrade if available. Our reservation was for a partial oceanview suite and when asked about upgrade were told nothing was available and tried to upsell VIP building for an additional 250 a night. Declined. Our original room was in building 9 with a view that was not partial oceanview and we declined. Returned to lobby and indicated we would wait for an upgrade. Manager then provided an upgrade to Room 3401 in Building 3 which was amazing and very appreciated. The original refusal to upgrade plus the upsell made the check in process horrible but the problem was more than fixed by the upgrade after we indicated that we were not happy with the original room. Only other issue is that it would be nice if the lobby/check in area and a few other restaurants would be under AC. All the seaside restaurants are open air and there is a nice breeze but more space under AC would be a welcome upgrade. They do have non ocean view restaurants that are air conditioned and they are nice. Quality of the food, drinks, beach, pool and service are off the charts. So overall 9/10 and they are great.

Beautiful resort with stunning views. Amazing service from stuff. Great food and lots of activities. Will definitely return!

Liked: - staff friendy and attentive - excellent service - Layout of resort is excellent with everything a short walk while lush vegetation made it feel private throughout - restaurants did not require reservations, (eliminated stress of booking) with very good variety and many options - many bar options surronding 2 main pools and near beach - rooms are spacious - accommodation buildings not too big and quiet - mutliple outdoor entertainment events daily - outdoor entertainment ended at a good time to allow guests who would like to sleep at 11pm For improvement: - resort starting to show a bit of age, and may benefit from some additional maintenance or renovation in some areas - bathroom by pools was air conditioned and too cold if you are a bit wet after swimming (perhaps not necessary to have AC)

Absolutely stunning property. The attention to details was second to none. The staff is wonderful. The beach front water and room was stunning. Our concierge Alejandro was outstanding. Made for a memorable birthday and honeymoon!!
