布萊耶海灘酒店(Braye Beach Hotel)

Had a really enjoyable 3 nights stay at the Braye Beach. The (platinum) room was very comfortable with an lovely view over the beach. We ate in the Brasserie, The Vaults and the Bar and the food was excellent, with a good choice. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The location is very convenient for exploring the beautiful and very interesting small island of Alderney. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay with superb facilities. Spotless clean with a beautiful room and sweeping views across the beach and headland. We hardly needed anything more than the view from the room! Staff extremely welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Helped with all aspects of our stay and were in touch much in advance to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. Dinner was very nice and comparable to anything else we had on the island - would definitely recommend booking in for dinner on your stay. There’s also a quayside terrace which is great for daytime food/coffee/drinks. We needed an early getaway and had particular dietary requirements. The staff were so attentive and designed a breakfast bespoke to our needs - we very much appreciated the attention to detail. The waiting staff helped me find the nicest spots to have a coffee and read my book from. They were there to make sure we got our morning taxi to the airport well and on time. Thank you to all the staff there, and especially reception who facilitated our travel needs and requests.

Stunning location on the beach, staff really friendly, great food, afternoon tea superb. First time on Alderney and when we come back we will definitely stay here again.

An excellent hotel on a beautiful tranquil Island. The staff here are all so friendly and very helpful, nothing seemed to much trouble. The menu was varied and all cooked fresh to requirements. We have been fortunate with the weather and enjoyed many walks around the Island. There are no buses, no trains, no Ubers. But plentiful taxis if needed. I fully recommend this hotel, the only 4 star on the Island. A sea view room is special as you look over the beautiful bay.

Bed and bedding excellent, rooms very well appointed. Staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. Beach views are stunning, don’t take a street facing room if you can help it, pay that bit extra. Glorious island and the hotel is the best location on it. Sit on the terrace watching wild swimmers and dog walkers..taxi into town (to avoid walking up « cardiac hill » is £5. Taxi to airport the same. Only quibble is blandness of some of the food. Chef night off? But Eggs Benedict unseasoned and unadorned, hollandaise sauce not great, eggs rubbery. Not our first stay and won’t be our last. Starting to save the pennies already.

We received a very warm welcome and were shown up to our room. The room was beautiful, double aspect with fantastic views over the bay. It was so relaxing to sit on the Juliet balcony and watch the sea. The room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold dishes. We had dinner on our first night, again it was very good. The best thing about the hotel were the staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. This was our first visit to Alderney, we loved the island. The history, the beautiful beaches and the warm welcome wherever we went.

We went for lunch today and we’re informed that we could not have lunch in the bar or on the side terrace but we had to sit on the front terrace which was very hot as there was no wind or in the restaurant which was hot and stuffy if you sit in the bar the views are great and the room is airy. They are now missing a great asset and the hotel will suffer because of this decision

Ill start with the positives.. unlike a previous review we found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The hotel is situated on a beautiful bay with a lovely 5 star view and is a 15 minute walk into the pretty town. It’s ideally situated so you can swim and relax in the day and head into town at night. It is on a street with a supermarket (so good for walkers wanting to buy picnics ) and there are also two restaurants very close by that serve decent food. The beach is next to the hotel who helpfully provide beach towels, there is a nice terrace too overlooking the bay. Now for the negatives … The hotel decor is dated i havent stayed in anything like it since the 80s .. the rooms are not quite as polished as they appear on the website, pillows aren’t that comfortable..but it’s all not too bad but just feels very average. What really let the hotel down for me was the food. Lunch was bland , the sandwiches and chips were tasteless, breakfast was the same. and therefore you really are paying for the location. This is rated a 4 star but I’ve given it 3 ( although location is 5) as it really didn’t feel like a four star to me .. tip go to one of the other restaurants on the street or in town to eat but have coffee and an evening drink . here. I do think with minimal effort this could be a much better hotel, but there isn’t huge amount of choice on the island and There are better hotels on the island but not with such a good location, so you need to make a choice of what you are looking for.

Very comfortable hotel. Room well equipped and nice touches like fresh milk in fridge. Excellent breakfast with choice. Fab location on the bay/ beach. We had to leave early on last morning to get 7am boat and were presented with well stocked breakfast tray night before.
